Umm..steering lock? Does the steering rotate freely? If no, try to rotate it a little and try ot turn the key simultaneously.

Hope you are inserting key properly and complete and making steering wheel free before turning key.

Otherwise there might be some lever damaged inside. You may need to change complete lock, as chances for repairing is very less.

Good Luck!

It seems the steering is locked
just move the steering a bit towards right and left, and simulatneously try to turn the key.

Please try to turn the steering a bit to the left and right with your left hand after inserting the key, and at the same time try to turn the key with your right hand. It looks like you have a steering lock, which is common in most cars.

Team_Suzuki,
Thanks God it was a simple thing.

And this, my friends, is the one of the classics which should be there in 'Driving Typo's' thread (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ing-typos.html (Driving "Typos"))

This is common to all cars. So, if you ever encounter this problem again, try turning the steering wheel a bit to either way.
