It is nearly impossible for you to do 120 in second gear unless you have messed with gearbox or engine.
Screeching away the tyres is a good way to increase your budget as the tyres will be bald soon.
btw you sound like a Moped Hunter. Please try and keep more control on the car as it can be dangerous even for you.
Now coming back to Topic.
Change up always at 1000 rpm if you have a car with a nice torque. ofc It takes forever to go fast but you will get good fe.
Why to change down ? Just use brakes to get even better fe.
