IFTEX for Opel Corsa
I have using an Opel Corsa for the last 3 years. The car has done around 15000 Km.
It has been suggested that 1ml of IFTEX be used with every 1 litre of petrol. I have been doing that regularly now and I have seen that the consumption per litre is about a km or so better (with & without IFTEX).
Of late it has become difficult to get the IFTEX bottles. To top it all, the GM workshop (the only one in Hyderabad) do not have stock of the same. They are simply saying that the stock is expected today/tomorrow.
So much for introduction. What I would like to know is
1. What are the consequences of not using IFTEX (short term & long term)
2. What is GMs approach to this problem ( I was stunned when I heard that the ONLY workshop in Hyderabad does not have stock).
Thanks in advance.

Look for System G in Bharat Petroleum petrol pumps.
Hope you will find more information about usage/non-usage in this thread,
