Default HELP! Whats the correct service schedule?

I have a honda CRV 2.0, bought in March 08. This is a very less used vehicle, mostly only by my father. At the max, it will run only 6000 kms every yr!!

It had its first oil change and third service in September 08. The car had only covered 1800 kms then. As on today, the car has 3000 kms on the ODO.

Now that the 3 free services are over, I was planning to get the car services twice a year, with a 6 month interval, with a oil and filter change each time.

However, today I got a call from my dealer that my 4th service is due and I am supposed to get the car serviced every 3 months, regardless of kms!

Q1. Is the dealer right? The car has run only 1200 kms since oil change..is it time for a service again?

Q2. If I dont follow the the dealer's advice and get the car serviced every 6 months (every 3000 kms), will this void my warranty?

Thanks

Stick only to the maintenance plan specified in your owner's manual. It's a good idea to change oil/filter every 5000 kms, irrespective of when your service is due.

If your car was bought in March 2008, how are all the free services over? The 3 free services are usually 1 month/1000 kms, 6 month/5000 kms, 1 yr/10,000 kms, isn't it? Atleast that's the way it is for Maruti petrol cars. Please read your owner's manual. Your dealer seems quite greedy.

Will post the manuals scan tomorrow, as far as I can understand, the manual says a service every 6 months is fine...

Honda's Schedule is as follows:

1 st service - 1 Month
2 nd service - 3 month / 5000 km
3 rd service - 6 month / 10000 km
