Let me check if I can help you out here. I will go through the settings and let you know. But if it is really dull I hope you will be able to guide your way through the settings?

Bad news. I was checking the settings and could not find anything on the music player display. Have you tried increasing the brightness of the display on the speedometer? Maybe that might help.

thats too early, I have done 1,10,000 kms on the original clutch and there is no sign of slippage as of now.

Generally it depends on how do you drive.

Agreed. Increasing brightness of the speedo does not help indeed. I don't think its possible to adjust brightness of the stock music system.

Hi guys,
There is an option.
1. Switch on the Player.
2. Press "Menu" button once. you'll see 3 tabs ( Syst. Audio, Tuner). Pic 1.
3. Press the left scroll button to go to Syst Tab. Pic 2.
4. Press Up scroll button till you reach "Dis Ilum". Pic 3
5. Press "OK" to enter the Menu. and the use Left/Right to Decrease/increase the brightness. Pic 4 is at level 3 & Pic 4 at level 16.
There are other options also in Syst Menu, which you can experiment.

Hope it helps.

Thanks buddy. However, some of us were not privileged to get Blaupunkt. Ours is the old Clarion unit. This unit does not have brightness control or at least I have not been able to find this option.
So, if there is anybody with a clarion unit who has been able to increase the brightness on the HU, please let us know by posting the steps on the forum.

Thanks.

Our Vista's body parts are ageing faster, as first signs of corrosion show up in both the cars. Really shocked to see them within 6 years.

Vista QJD - 2009 model - Clutch replacement.

My Vista was due for service and she clocked 45K so far - from the day 1 suffering with hard clutch and its time for replacement. Took it to Ignite, ECR Chennai (Raghav) who had suggested to replace with Fiat Punto clutches as it is compatible.. This has made a big difference - the clutch now behaves like petrol car and I have to adjust myself as I have been driving this Tata truck for long...

Amazing experience with Raghav - a no nonsense guy and pro customer in terms of saving some bucks.

BTW, am looking for replacing the tyres.. zeroed in on Bridgestone - Any suggestion whether to go for AR20 or B290 ?..Bit confused..

My 2011 Vista got one of its glow plugs replaced under warranty a couple of months back and today I can see the engine malfunction indicator come up permanently and the heating coil indicator blink a few times once I crank up the engine. Need to visit the ASC next week to check on the glow plug again and moreover the left side fog lamp has some moisture left in it after I had to go thru a pool of water during last week rains. Is the fog lamp covered in extended warranty too?

Balaji - I have the same problem. What was the total cost ? My front shocks also seem to be leaking and might have to replace that also

I also got the clutch replaced on my Vista at 50k KMs. The cost was approximately 7,000/- INR.

Regarding tyres, go for Bridgestone B290. I replaced 4 tyres on my Vista just 2 days ago. The total cost for 4 tyres with weights, new valves, balancing and alignment came out to be 15,600/- INR. It makes a world of difference driving with brand new tyres. The car just glides over the road.
