Default Jatropha Fuel available in Pune

Hey guyz just got this news ... Going to Eco-Friendly way
Alternative to diesel ... JATROPHA FUEL a bio-fuel now available in Pune near TATA Motors, Bhosari..
There is a new fuel pump opened up in Bhosari MIDC.. Will check on it and update with pictures if Possible ..

Thats an ongoing experiment....currently only tata busses are running on bio-diesel. Not open to the public yet....but will be soon hopefully.

I recently saw a Tata Indica Biodiesel parked outside some department in IIT Delhi. Looks like tata is also looking into biodiesel as an elternative and the next indica may fully support it. But the problem with biodiesel is currently its high cost.

There is a Mercedes C220 CDI also running on Biodiesel at the Pune Factory.

Does the enjine require any modifications in order to support bio diesel

I think the ignition is the only component that will require some modification and the fuel delivery pressure.

On my way to collage I saw one Octivia with stickers of bio diesel. Another vechical under test I think.
Has anyone from pune tried this fuel ? EVO ?

Adya,
I tried to get my hand on the fuel thru TATA but was not available so easily.. Dont think any layman has tried that fuel before.. will give u a feedback from the TATA and DCIL guyzzzz.
