The last service I did was in November 2008. Castrol GTD 5.5 litres was 1145 inclusive of taxes. Prices may have gone up. The service guy essentially does not have much control over the brands that the service centres tend to use
I'm now moving this with a friend of mine who works in another Concorde and got it confirmed that Rs. 280/- litre is the price of Castrol GTX in TASC.

Hmm.. if the customer is not satisfied, he will vote with his feet. And since the dealer is in Bangalore where people get paid in dollars, he will always get a few more customers if one leaves.

I was charged 230+VAT per litre of Castrol GTX here in Ahmedabad last week and the MSRP for the oil is 260+VAT by Tata, so I dunno how these people are charging you 280 unless it includes VAT.

Default Service done :-)

I got my car back after II service.

They finally charged me only 240 per litre incl VAT. I'll speak with my friend again and will update what made them reduce the price. Thanks to teknophobia, trrk, nithin, Samtheleo and greenhorn for all your guys' replies and help. Everything turned out to be nice and good & I'm happy about it.

As Nithin says, I'm gonna try Emm Emm Motors the next time. Its too much of a hassle going 15km to Concorde and back everytime.

Here is the bill:

Castrol GTX 5.5@240 p.l = 1325
Oil Filter = 141
Fuel Filter = 134
--------------------------
total = 1953
--------------------------

Did you try EMM EMM motors and any feedback on them. I am also wanting to look for a place closer to home for my Safari and EMM EMM is the closest.
