Default i10 1.1 giving mileage of 13 kmpl

hi all,

i tested the mileage of my i10 1.1 ERA using full tank to full tank method.

i am getting 13 kmpl in bangalore city's heavy traffic with full AC.

2nd free service is due next week. can i expect an improvement in the mileage after the 2nd service ?

although advertised otherwise by hyundai, many users have reported that the mileage of i10 1.2 kappa does not exceed that of i10 1.1 irde.

rohan,
bangalore

The claim of getting 41kmpl is completely rubbish. Even two wheelers are not getting 40 properly with 150cc eng. Spec.
You driving with 100% AC on in city traffic is absolutely a good mileage.
Yours is kappa(1.2) & not 1.1L normal old one and also you are maintaining it well,by looking at the details you have mentioned.

Believe in something which is realistic.

42kmpl ? Something is certainly wrong somewhere here ! My uncle has a red i10 1.1 and he is getting around 14-15kmpl in city without A/C

rohan,
bangalore
Rohan,

Your mileage will definitely see an improvement after the second service. From what you have stated, 13kmpl is good in Bangalore's chaotic road conditions.

Cheers,
gpa

Our 3 month old Kappa barely manages 12 kmpl. With 80% Ac.

The talks of i10 giving 42 kmpl is just rubbish, as modern 150cc segment geared bikes fails to give around 45 kmpl.
42 kmpl is just a fake..awake consumers !!!

Hyundai is not the only one who has made such outrageous claims. MUL for that matter also did the same with the A-Star.

@ gpa,
thanks for reminding me.
MUL used to say that A-Star will give 29.6 kmpl, but my friend's A-Star even fails to give 17 kmpl on highway.

42kmpl? The car must have belonged to a dope dealer, and the hidden stash must be getting heated by the engine

No but seriously. Inst there anything we can do against such obviously misleading claims(apart from using common sense, for the benefit of those who cant )

Sorry for the wrong one.
See the advertise of Maruti Suzuki A-Star starring Farhan Akhtar, in that @ the last there used to be a slogan like it gives 39.4 kmpl something like that.
In the Maruti-Suzuki showrooms, you can still see this advertise.
See the following link:
AutoIndia.com - Maruti A-star records mileage of 39.4 Kmpl

@ pedrolourenco
I am not at all amazed by the fuel efficiency of A-Star, its a time for indian Consumers to wake up.
My friend's A-Star even fails to achieve 15 kmpl on highway itself !!!!
