The decision was taken, ironically, in the VW showroom.Whilst the Vento is a good car, it is simply overpriced, with bland looks and not much of a service network in the country for now. Plus the long term ownership would definitely be much higher than the Linea. I guess if i wanted just A.S.S then simply close my eyes and go for a Maruti product. The Linea was simply an irresistible offer and i finally got a freshly delivered car, 8 Oct 11, instead of one standing in the stockyard. The car is running fine. The fuel economy and ride comfort is awesome. I have covered around 3000 kms since then (100 % city), with a fuel average of 19.8 kmpl. Have also upgraded the Blue & me with ecodrive which helped me refine the driving skills and raise the bar. The speakers are the only sore point but since i dont like to play music loudly, i think i will survive, for now. The car has a 4 year warranty with 50 months of 24x7 road side assistance.

Wish you all a very happy new and prosperous new year.

I'am owning Linea 2009 Feb Model, can you please help with the detail stpes in upgrading the blue and Me with Eco drive.

These are suspension mounts, also called elastic pads. Fiats are known to have issues with them, mine included. Changed in warranty at 27k kms.

I had a similar kind of problem, the immobilizer light comes on after starting the car.

I had checked the output of the battery using the load test at one of the battery service center and it was showing up around 9 Volts as against 12 V.

Replaced the battery and everything is fine now.

May be you can do a load test on the battery at your end. This could be one of the problem

hey Guys just got a Pre worshipped Linea MJD EPK
Still trying to understand the car-it is too complex as compared to my previous Accent

The ICE has a mood of its own-it keeps on switching between sources-as in USB/CD/Radio-its pretty irritating.

What can be the reason?-anyone else facing a similar issue?

Congrats for the car!.
That complexity will surprise and pleases you in same breath.
Unfortunately the ICE is little too weird sometimes, it happens usually due to the crappy WindowsCE failing to recognizing the USBdrive, so it automatically switches back to radio in the meantime, it's bizarre but hey its windows os.
If you get this problem then go to the menu control on the steering wheel navigate to media-player >>Random and press OK, it should work fine till it fails again

My bro in law has a Linea Emotion Pack and he'd having this rather strange issue.

Issue is that his car's rear left tyre gets kind of chipped off or wear in an uneven way that it started making a flapping noise when going in average speeds.

One of the SAs told this is am ABS issue another said its an alignment issue. We checked with a wheel aligner and he said this is common in Lineas. We rotated tyres but again issue is recurring to the rear left side tyre. Issue is ONLY to the tyre on the rear left side. Rest all are fine

He'd changed tyres before 30k for the same issue. The new one only ran 30k I.e. he's pretty much fed up and we can't keep changing tyres and no solutions being offered by anyone.

Bro in law is located in Calicut, Kerala.
Pic is attached.

He already changed a tyre. Current and previous tyre is Goodyear GT3 195 60.

So experts, any advise that I can convey will be helpful.

A little OT here. But can somebody explain why so many Linea/punto Suspension/Wheel Alignment/Uneven tyre wear/Ac problems are detected and reported from Fiat owners based in Kerala? What is the uniqueness of Kerala's roads that besides Fiat owners nobody else owning other car brands in Kerala complain about.

That's quick Amitji.

Do you suggest writing to the tyre company or Fiat?

Also what did you mean by alignment reports?

Hows yours deforming?

Do you also have a Linea?
