I own a 2004 Ford Ikon1.6 Nxt. For the past 1yr I have been facing starting problems with my car. I have tried various fixes but none has worked, the problem seems recuring. I have always serviced my car at the authorised Ford service center.

The first time I had the problem, Ford recommended me to change batteries as it was more than 2yrs old - which I did promplty. Then the problem reoccoured after 2 months and got my car towed to Ford. They diagnosed the problem and mentioned that there was problem with the alternator -they did not replace it but serviced it. Things worked fine for 2 weeks and the problem resurfaced. I took the car back to for and replaced the alternator. Again after 1.5 months I had the same problem and they diagnosed that the cable from the alternator to the battery is at fault. The cleaned the cable and things were working fine till yesteday (after period of 2 months:Frustrati) . I had a local mechanic to jumpstart my car and he checked the battery and said that the battery was internally damaged and the color of the acid inside had become green. I am not sure if this normal or not? The battery is a Ford battery. I am not sure what to do? Ford has not been able to give me a proper solution. Has anyone faced silmilar problems? Could someone adivce me on how to fix this. Will taking my car to a specialised service center like Bosch help?

The only additional elecitric source I have added is a Amp.
Thanks in advance for you replies
