Default Power Steering issues with the OHC Type II

I am having major problems with the power steering of my OHC Type II. It has already been hard to steer it with the broader tyres I have on it, and with the rains out in the city it has become even worse. Literally feels as if I am driving a fully loaded truck, without some additional 100 kgs on the wheels and NO power to move it around.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any recommendations on the solution?

How many kms up on the car? The OHC's power steering unit is known to require work after 5 - 6 years / 75,000 kms of use. The steering rack needs to be overhauled too. Symptom = power steering oil leakage.

Check the level of your fluid and update us.
