| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | My Indica user manual Recommends that I use Castrol Extreme Pressure 80 EP oil for the gearbox. However, my TASC has used "castrol Transpower TQ" - cant find any info on this apart from the fact that it is recommended for the sumo. Google tells me that using an EP oil in a gearbox not designed for it will cause damage. In my case, the reverse has happened. Is there any risk? |

| Even i could not find 80 ep oil for my indica when i changed my gearbox oil but i did add a few ml of my engine oil additive as it can be used for gearbox too (it was written on the can) and now my gears have become smooth |
