Hey S.I.N.G.H. congrats man.

I was driving the new Punto through a mud road near my home, around 20 Kmph, like the way I drive my Palio, and Bang!! The bottom hit the ground suddenly while going through an uneven stretch. I had to reduce the speed from next time on, to avoid the hit.

I miss Palio's humble off-roading capabilities in Punto. I guess same is the case with Linea.

I guess de-inflated tires will increase the breaking ability rather decreasing as the area of tire touching to ground would be more(patch area i suppose). Experts please through some light on this. As in my opinion the grip would be more if the tires have less psi.

my linea scrapes badly on uneven roads and potholes... and there are lots of them in my daily route.
my heart sinks every time i hear a screech on the bottom.. my car is just 3 weeks old and it scrapes at least twice per day, sometimes very badly.

most of the times i take a 15km longer route just to avoid the bad roads...
we have an sx4 also which i used earlier and not once did it touch the roads at the wrong places... sometimes i just feel had i known this earlier, i wouldnt have bought a linea..

i am really distressed. is there a solution to it.

sorry to hear about that sir. but as of now i couldn't find out any other alternative other than increasing the ride height by addition of spacers. but that would reduce the beauty of the car!! the trick is to go slow through the pot-holes and diagonally over the speed breakers. i do this to avoid scrapping.

I maintain 36 psi air pressure in all the tyres as per manufacturer's specification and am comfortable with the ride with less bottom-scraping.

Hello friends,
I got my linea emo pak on 8 th Sep. but i am now very sad to say the belly has scratched 4 times now. i am totally depressed about the GC. today i had a look underneath and found there are impacts in the engine gaurd and also on both sides of the car just on the middle portion. i have driven the car only 140KM. now i am afraid to take my car out. Please advise me how to overcome the issue. I have checked the tyre pressure also, its around 34. the sticker in the car indicates 33 in all the 4 tyres. please help me. my car's tyre spec is 195/60 R15
thanks

Correct your driving style, especially taking bumps. GC is not bad as you think

Thank you for your quick reply friend. One thing i have to tell you, no one will never go for a bad driving style in a brand new car. And if you have a hit once no owner will never try to reproduce it on a brand new car. After all this is not a toy we have purchased after paying 9.8 LK.

Thanks
