You say you 'feel' the RPM increase. The Santro Zip Plus does not have a tachometer.
How do you know for sure it's the engine rpm that increases when you switch on the AC?

And if you say it's the engine hum that increased - that noise could be due to other reasons - as well.

You are right, My car doesn't have tachometer. I could hear the increased engine sound when I switch on the AC and when switch off it becomes normal.

Can you explain me what other noise it could be, may be I can check in that aspects.

You could look at the accelerator cable or its mounting point on the throttle body of the car. I had a similar occurrence with my car. Even with the cluth depressed and the foot off the accelerator cable, the RPM of the car used to increase.

Turned out that the accelerator cable mounting was loose leading to a play in its movement.

An easier way would be to get an OBD Scan done.

Need help ?????
Unlikely. Engine idle RPM goes up with AC compressor switching on. Too high an increase may be due to a bad IAC unit. Get a mechanic to check the car and if needed open and clean the throttle body.
