Default Baleno(altura) skidding a lot

My car has done almost a lakh km, about 500km away; It's in excellent condition otherwise but off late the braking's become scary. It goes into a skid even under relatively light braking. Tap the pedal hard and it's certainly going t skid.
I've driven and owned other Non abs vehicles 2 but it's never as bad as in my case. It's happening 3-4 times a day, Like a said A slight hard tap and you're greeted with screeching tyres. Please help, ask for more details if you need to know anything . I've stopped taking my car t MASS, take it t a local but very competent mechanic, thought I'd take an opinion here as well.

1- New tyres
2- Front gas shocks, new
3- Front brake bads changed a few months back(original, whatever suzuki provides)

tyres are ruled out as you have new tyres.

check the following.
easiest solution
1. check the alignment.
2. when did you last flushed the brake oil

more karchila type.
3. front rotor. not in shape, developed groves.
4. rear pads sticking and locking, when did you do the rear wheel servicing
5. slave cylinders sticky.

Have you checked tyre pressures?

Is it actually skidding (locking tyres) or just making a screeching noise? The noise could be attributed to the tyres. Which tyres are you using?

I dont know how far the issue is related to yours, but I had a similiar problem with my tata sierra turbo. Got it rectified by balancing and aligning all the four tyres.

If its just screeching tires check the alignment, misaligned wheels can make weird sounds while cornering and braking.

Otherwise good idea to do a complete brake overhaul and see if it helps.
