Exclamation Best engine rebuilders?

Hi all,

I have a Fiat Siena 1.7 Turbo Diesel. Its done close to 1.2L

As i am so attached with the car and i love driving it, i wanted to keep it. But there are some issues with engine such as inlet valve leak or something. So, i wanted to do a good engine over haul.

Is it possible to buy a brand new Fiat engine which fits fo example: Fiat Palios or something like that may be Swift DDiS (which is essentially a Fiat engine)? If yes, where can i buy them and how much will it cost? Any technical/ compatibiltiy issues?

Please suggest some expert engine rebuilders who has knowledge and are tustworthy in Bnaglore and Kerala area.

Thanks for your help

If your compression is good, just fix the valve leak and go on.
Rebuilding an engine will need a ton of new engine parts and I'm not so confident about the 1.7 TD engine's spares availability.

As someone recommended here, better get the valve leakage fixed and continue using the car. You haven't specified any problems that may lead someone to determine that perhaps your car is reaching the engine O/H stage. And even if your car may require and engine O/H in future, its such a hassle to accumulate all the parts required for an engine O/H especially for cars that are not common on indian roads.

If you feel that the power may have dropped please check the compression it could help you identify if you need new rings along with the valve job.

Swapping engines when you are ok with the current one would not make sense.

repairing it seems to be a viable option ! should run for another 60 or 70k comfortably. i will suggest to do a dynamo test to chk all the parameters concerning your engine

Best for you to have a diesel engine specialist give the once over to your 1.7 TD unit. Also, since the car has covered substantial mileage, your turbo could need an overhaul too.

I think you meant dyno test? Either ways, a compression check is a far better / viable option.
