Default I forget the name...something like loctite (but the Indian version)

Well, heres a funny story.

I walk into this stall and look around.

See some product displays and nice charts on the walls.

Begin to take pictures....

After taking precisely 2 pictures, a gentleman asks me "WHAT DO YOU WANT?", in a not very helpful tone.

I tell him that i am taking pictures to share on a website where people are interested in seeing these sort of things.

He says i could be a competitor trying to steal their secrets () and that I should have introduced myself. (Despite the fact that he showed no interest when i walked into his stall).

I offer to delete the pictures - and exclaim that theres really nothing so secret on display, as well as put forth my views on how expos are about showing things!

Anyway, long story short - i didn't take any more pics.

What is the product?
A collection of adhesive and sealants etc.
For example, putting some of it on the bolts shown in the pic above will ensure that the nuts do not come lose. They have MANY different types for different applications.

I don't know about the pricing of this make, but Loctite is one of the most expensive liquids sold in the world (per ml).

Great!

I'd probably spend longer in this section than I would looking at the cars!

Thanks for the thread and the pics

When i asked "Is Nikhil there?" their reply was "Are you a BHPian?"

On the lighter note : I never knew Wipro software is used in a Ferrari. I was discussing about this with my colleagues and we thought "Thank God that was never used in a Formula1 car, or else that will only add further to the list of problems they are facing. . Afterall its just like any other software developed by one of Wiproiites like us."

Ok, now on the serious note, I feel proud to know Wipro contributes to such amazing technology. I only heard about TCS being involved with Ferrari. I think I should go and search for the projects which are part of this.

Thanks Rehaan for the wonderful information.

Bloody hell!! When was this? I went on 5th and 7th. I didnt bother after that due to the rush!

Would have loved to meet up with you guys!! I was looking high and low for BHPians to sync up with! Would have loved to show you the showcase of our stall this year. A lever-less tyre changer.

I have similar feelings!
Seeing the pieces is sometimes more fun than seeing the end product. (Not counting driving here )

Default Sunsui

Sunsui had a variety of tapes on display. Quite an interesting selection, ranging from tapes for paint masking to foam tapes to make water-tight seals!

Default Vinjey Software Systems

A couple of the "electonic" stalls were hard for the general public to grasp - since there wasn't an actual tangible product on show.

This would be one of those - this young chap mentioned something about custom codec development/implementation if i recall correctly. I'm unsure about the exact applications, but i thought i'd put this up anyway for you guys to decode!

Default Styr

These guys make a whole variety of heads.

Another interesting observation is that even though these companies know their products extremely well - some of them are unsure of where their product finally ends up!
For example, they might know every detail of a head on display - but not know which engine/car it is used on.
Similarly, other companies that do castings might know that the HUGE parts they make are used on a JCBs - but they don't know what the purpose of the part is.
Totally understandable in a business / supply point of view, but still a little strange from a petrol-head's POV

PS - These guys were fine with us taking photos - whereas another head manufacturer requested us not to.
