Say you were floating in space and you squeezed yourself in between an astral potato-chip and the Starship Enterprise |
You try to make some room for yourself by pushing the two objects apart. Which one(s)/what will move ?
LOL, but yeah i got the point. Thats prob the reason why a heavier car (or rather a car with more mass) creates more lateral force when cornering at the same speed as a lighter car even when its working perpendicular to the gravitational pull.
The confusion came bcoz we usually talk about power to weight ratio and not power to mass ratio. So somewhere down the line, the relation between power, mass, gravity and weight got lost.
