Default Facelifting alto's dash

greetings to all my fellow bhpians and the respected mods.

i was planning to do this diy since a very long time, but i was finally able to do it today with the help, guidance and support of maglev.

the whole process took me 5 hours. all i had to do was unscrew 4 bolts, take out the panel and give it to paint and again fix it back into the car. and the result is in front of you all. i had to shell out 500 bucks from my pocket. i hope you all like the outcome.

i am attaching the pics. any suggestions and queries are always welcome

regards

singh

ps: the last pic shows how it looked earlier

Nice job!

But, isn't it tough to maintain the painted part of the dash scratch less...

couple more coatings of clear coat and then the dashboard polish. this would make the paint less prone to scratches

Great work S.I.N.G.H. Although a few days back i bought mine, the interiors look so dull even when new. Guess i can give it a try after my free service is over. Can you state which paint was used on the bezel.

thanks for your reply sir. this is the same paint which is used to paint car bodies. its just that i insisted the painter on applying a few more clear coats than he normally does put.

It looks good S.I.N.G.H. Sahab,

Just make sure to use some dashboard polish on the non painted area, so as to make that region shine as well.

Cheers
