Default Santro Steering precision?

Hi all,

I am hunting for a used car for my brother. Today I test drove a
Santro LS (2003) low mileage vehicle. Everything is ok, but I feel the
steering is not as precise when compared to my Palio. Actually it
understeers at low speeds ( or its nagging feeling?).

Is it problem with that particular car or in general Santro steering
is like that?

Regards,
Prasanna

I have some driving experience of Santro ZipPlus(LS or LX?.). Compared to WagonR, i did not find it to understeer that much. Its Hydraulic Power steering i think, so its more precise than EPS (Infact, EPS feels totally disconnected ). But having said that, Palio Steering is very precise.. so maybe after driving Palio you are having this nagging feeling.

The santro understeers...and after a palio you'l feel it even more. Check for alignment issues as well...if the alignment is out, the tyres may squeal even at low speeds with slightest inputs.

Except that under steering issue (that too only once) I liked Santro a lot. Its a sheer practical vehicle in city.
