I had exactly similar issue in my Palio.
Got the whole steering leather done at Stanley. Paid 2k+. No problem of slipping till date.

Ask for the soft leather ones, the price is slightly higher than the stiffer ones.

Dampen an ordinary turkish towel in warm water (I repeat warm water - not hot water) and rub your stearing along the circumference.

Doesn't the air con mitigate the sweating issue?

I always drive with the a/c on, whether its hot or cold. It also prevents dust getting inside the cabin, which is my concern!

I face the same problem with sweaty palms. Talcum power is one idea I plan to try. Waiting ot fix a leather steering grip - either Karlsson or Pensee or if Stanley has handstitched (not laced), will check.

Is 2K too much for 1.3mm leather hand stitched?

Cheers
