What is this all about? All new 2014 Verna?

Review: 2nd-gen Hyundai Verna (2011)-verna-2014.png

Also, does any one have any insider source with Hyundai dealership? I heard via a friend that Hyundai MAY introduce a Verna Diesel AT with a 6 speed GB as seen in Elantra.

There is no mention of that anywhere, but would be a great thing to have.

Regards,

I think this is about the facelifted Verna with projector headlamps. There was a report that they also have a new variant in 1.4L CRDi. So nothing exceptional, just some additional features to claim "first in the segment" tagline.

China gets a facelifted Verna, which IMO looks much smarter at the front. Here are the pics (couortesy Carnewschina.com):

The following is the pic of current Verna in China:

Those are coil spacers for soft suspensions to reduce bottoming out. I'm more of a noob on this, but here is an informative thread on the same :https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techn...uspension.html

This is similar to the rubber coil spring adjusters discussed in the below thread. But, the difference is since Urethane is harder than rubber, it would have different characteristics. I am not sure if any one from TBHP had tried the urethane ones.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you think this would have any positive effects on the lousy handling which Verna suffers from on high speeds?

I believe on the Ford Ecosport thread, one of the TBHP-ian has suggested the following re placement of the coil spring/ rubber spacer (as called in spares market) adjusted:

1. At the top of the rear suspenseion spring - To improve the handling by making it stiff.

2. In the middle - To induce softness in ride.

3. At the bottom to increase height.

Do refer Ford Ecosport thread for proper explanation by the TBHP-ian .

I saw them a few days ago in gurgaon in my rear view mirror at night...could identify it was a verna only after it came in forward at the toll.
I am not a big fan of the dotted DRL design so I sourced my morimoto mini D2S kit with Halo rings from US and got them installed last week. Will post pictures soon.

Deadguy - I have the same problems 2 and 3. Got my 30K service done at 26K itself (on February 07/14) thinking that they would resolve the water flowing noise. They exactly did the same thing they did to your car - kept it for 3 days dirtied it and gave it back. Now I have a green color oil leaking just behind the right hand side wheel.

let me know if I also need to replace the Radiator and if yes - what is the cost? Is it covered under warranty.

Again - Agree it is a very nice car, a bit too sensitive. Please guys help me.

40k service done today. For 1st time did an engine flush. Wanted to use Mobil Delvac 1 but could not fetch it in time. Went for semi synthetin servo futura instead having 15w40, CI specification. Total expenses 5.5 k. Next time I will use delvac 1. It is available on line for 4.2 k. Has any one bought any thing throgh online sites. If yes, please share the experience.

Happy that my car had no complaints to report to HASS. Did usual stuffs like replacement of engine oil, oil filter, fuel catrige & air filter. Cost of service seems to be reasonable.

Fellow verna owners, came accross this relay kit on the web. Sellers claim that it would work in Verna.

If it works, then after pressing the lock button, orvms fold in automatically instead of manually having to press the button.

I know this is more of a bling feature than anything else.

Currently i have a quote for $45 including shipping. I think it is spending too much for a simple relay.

What do you guys think?
