hmmm - just saw the cedia today on my way to work.
the rear is definitely cool - almost made me mistake it for a C class mercs.

GUYS, for our meet in Cochin on sat, we have arranged for the test drive of the Cedia. we shall be posting a detailed impression thereafter.....that would be the combined view od at least 10 BHPians....so, i think i can safely say, that that should be a definitive review of teh cedia.

Skoda 1.9TDi has 90 bhp its a diesel so no comparo but the petrol version is way more powerful with 150bhp on board.

its as spacious as corolla

Its got the biggest boot

Its newer platform

It doesnot use the latest platform of the Evo series. Its based on the Evo VII (Again, correct me if i am wrong)

Its got as much kit as optra

Some features which Optra has the Cedia doesnot.

1) Climate Control

2) Electronic Tilt and Slide Sun roof

3) Lumbar Support

4) Steering Mounted Audio Controls

5) Rear Sun Blind

6) Glass Antenna

Also it doesnot have TCS which Elantra has and Auto Headlamps which Elantra and Corolla both have.

Its interiors are better than elantra

But the elantra is more VFM with TCS, Auto head lights, etc.

why should it be sold at 7-8 lakhs.Its bigger, more powerful, better built, better kit than the NHC that sells at 7-8 lacs.

Its not a Honda

P.S devarshi even i love the Evo but this car simply doesnot excite. Hope Mitsu takes some action.

P.S.S IF though if it didnot have all those features but a MIVEC engine it would have won.

Speed is not the only reason one buys a car. From this logic, even Esteem will out do many bigger cars in 0-100, but I guess 0-100-0 both Esteem and Baleno will suffer due to no ABS on offering. In any case, let this thread be for Cedia, and lets not try to sell a Baleno on this thread as well, although I have been guilty of the same in the past

Actually its EVO VIII I guess and I used the word newer and not latest coz Its the current car sold in N.America and other places. The new version is supposed to come soon.

Every1 here knows as long as HM has the reins MIVEC chances aer less. I suppose the 1.6 lancer news is as much a rumour as the carisma launch.

That still sold? It has been replaced by the rider Turbo petrol which has 150bhp and thats about it but as all deatures the Cedia has.

Get the MIVEC engine and i can assure you that Cedia will sell way more then what they do now.

Got a chance to really have a hard look at the Cedia from the front 3/4th view. Looks good , smiley face and all , nice head lamp shape , interior looks comfy and spacious but surprisingly i found the rear to be a bit too bland compared to the overall look.

godfather said that he didn't see any point in buying a cedia worth 11 lakhs when a baleno could outrun it in 0-100 dash. By my above post i meant that his guideline of 0-100 dashes would be useless as the baleno would outrun quite a few cars in the 10 lakh range.

next time around please take enough time to understand the direction of the words, than just mere meaning.

yes its still sold, and it would be logically more correct to compare the 2.0 ltr 111 bhp version to the cedia than using the RS as a rival which is at quite a distance from the cedia in terms of price.

I am not really a fan of cedia. but there is no other offering in this segment that can actually be called a sporty looking car. So its the cedia as of now.

civic will be a hit if it is retains the looks, has a powerful engine and is prices competitively to the corolla.
