The fuel efficiency tests continue.
Had to make a trip to Bombay for some work.
So tanked up the Golden Beauty to the brim.
reset the trip computer, and off we went.
All readings now come with a trip meter to better understand the mileage between readings, Please note the trip meter has not been reset.

Revelations
You can achieve a better mileage on tarmac than on Concrete roads.
The guy who developed the instant mileage readout, is a genius, and has included quite a many calculations into the readout.
When it rains heavily the drivers side window has an annoying pitter patter at times.

Thanks Buddy!
I hope that this will work as an encouragement too.
Not only will we save money in the bargain, but the world too.
Also forgot to mention. Almost Every day since we brought home the Golden Beauty, have been driving her with utmost care and with full consciousness to extract the best possible mileage.
But on the return trip from Mumbai to Pune.
Decided to let me self go, and enjoy the I-VTEC to the fullest.
And boy did i have a blast. This car is seriously a junior Civic.
can't wait to finish up the comparison tests and post the findings.

I agree to this.
Overall Michellin's would been more effective on Concrete roads due to its soft rubber compound; you would have immediately noticed the difference.

I didn't really understand what you meant here ??

Wow you ripped on the return journey and still got 14.8 kmpl; IMO its still very very good for AT kmpl round the trip.

Wish you luck, and the best possible tarmac to enjoy the I-VTEC to the fullest before you set sail in September.

Will probably upgrade to Michelins when tyre change is due. But so far have been extremely happy with the MRF's too.

What i mean is that when it is raining heavily, and the wind forces the rain on the driver side window it makes a rather annoying crackly sound. was irritating me, till we changed direction.

I thoroughly am. I think of it this was, Chicca is enjoying her Spa vacation. Only the cabin needs to be cleaned. I am still holding the keys.

Yes believe it or not, and this car is really steady at speeds of 120-130 kmph. Am extremely happy with the mileage, and the savings that go with it. That also explains why i am not letting go of the Golden Beauty's keys.

I hope its the worthy junior in the eyes of CIVIC owner.
Me too, eagerly waiting for comparison tests.
It certainly is. It looks good,
is rather spacious on the inside.
has the performance to match.
and is extremely fuel efficient.
What more could i ask for?
goodies you say?
I can live without them.
This car is something special.

That is one stunning looking ANHC man. Eagerly waiting for your own thread. Are those Honda OE alloys? Never seen them before on any Honda vehicle.

Hi mdsaab,
Great trials and records.
Could you let me know what speed range and RPM is the optimum to extract the best FE returns from the City ?

Thanks Guderian. The most optimum speed range is 60-65 kmph.
and RPM at below 1500.

For a decent mileage without driving at a snails pace.
80-85 kmph which is the speed limit on the e-way.
and RPM @ 1500 rpm.
