Can you please tell me what race chip you've installed ? And from where.

I've zeroed in on a race dynamics chip which costs 18k. Can't find any others in the market.
Don't go for the single channel one. please go for the dual channel one which controls both fuel and air intake and costs 26k.

What's the difference ? Does it affect performance ?

Cheers,

Thanks bud. Like I said earlier, the BMW figures after the power kit are 205bhp and 430nm, but it certainly feels more than that. The little scratches are still there, and can't be noticed by anyone but me.

The car does not "emit" black smoke , it's just that after 5-7000 kms , you can see wee bit discolouration on the underside of the bumper near the exhaust tips.
Unnoticeable to everyone else , but since I inspect it every time I park it, I can make out the difference.
Thinking of sourcing some exhaust chrome caps on the Skoda website, hope the do the trick. 😊
Aaah that is possible, I've not noticed it yet. Maybe because my cars are detailed every 6 months, and I've got a great car washing guy. If the chrome tips end after the bumper then it may solve your problem to some extent.

My question is , will bmw discover I've messed with the car even if I remove the chip each time it goes in for servicing?

Any reviews, feedback on the race dynamics tuning box (or any other tuning box you'd recommend?)
I dunno how much Race Dynamics has tested their tuning box. I have nothing against them, and I am all praise for them. But personally I would go with a Euro manufacturer like Steinbauer, or Hartge for a tuning box. Those will be expensive though.

BMW will discover only if data from your ECU is uploaded to their server, like elantracrdi mentioned.

EDIT - Heres a quick pick I managed to take

I think the exhaust is the same on the X1, my exhaust pipe tip has become discolored with black and despite all efforts at removing it , it seems burned in. Tried everything metal polish , degreaser etc. is it a metal piece itself then I can have a go with steel wool .Any ideas.

I'm thinking about getting 10mm spacers, for the rear tyres. A friend had them on his car, but faced vibrations above 250kmph (luckily mine doesn't cross that speed so no problems of vibration ), so has taken them off. He may give them to me. The front wheels are flush, but I find the rear wheels could do with spacers. Will update when it happens. These are good quality Macht Schnell spacers.

Its always better to use spigot rings with spacers especially if you are not using the stock alloys. I had some high speed vibrations in the laura which was not solved by wheel balancing but sorted with spigot rings.

I agree. These are also called hub rings right? But both the cars in question, my friends and mine have OE BMW alloys. Except his are 20"s while mine are 17s. Luckily the PCD and all is the same so the spacers should fit just fine.

Are there no bugs/insects in Maharashtra? Your Car's front profile is so clean...its very hard to attain that.

Not sure, I think it was a Canon DSLR, don't remember the model number. Will ask him and let you know. Post processing has been done on the pics.

Lol I have no clue. Probably relatively less insects, in fact I've never really seen my cars front splattered with bugs after a long drive.
