f@alcon, nice pics.

Since yours is a W8, wanted to clarify a couple of things:
1. Did you get a chance to test the hill-hold and hill-assist thoroughly? During the 2 TDs I took, the behaviour was sort of unpredicatble. I mean, it engages some times and does not engage some other times. You faced any issues?
2. Any other observations? Any Indicators behaving irratically etc?

Thanks

Yes i have tried the hill hold assist sometimes and it engages perfectly whenever i wanted it to engage.
I will check thoroughly this time when i get a chance.

btw, can you put some pics of the third row seats. Is it good enough for a 6 ft person?
Thanks nacd80
As mannubhai said 3rd row is only suitable for short and skinny people.

f@lcon, one more doubt about hill hold and hill descent control.

Is the button shown below used to activate/deactivate both the features: a) Hill-Descent and b) Hill Hold?

Is there another button that I missed? Or is it like, press once for "Hill Hold", press twice for "Hill Descent" and press thrice for "Off"?

Also, the XUV site shows a single indicator for both the features.

In that case, what is the indicator marked with a circle below? I had assumed that, that one was for Hill-Descent.

According to the RM hill hold is built in feature and is always working while hill descent is activated via the button.

Did you test the car between 110-125 kmph after the service (wheel balancing and alignment) and was the steering vibration complaint resolved

Hill Hold is a automatic feature no buttons to activate it.
Icon you have marked is for Hill descent i haven't tried it yet.

The SE told me that the speed alloys have vibration complaints and advised me to stick with stock alloys.

Drove my car around 110-140kmph today there was NO steering vibration as observed earlier.
Wheel alignment and balancing during general checkup has solved the issue.

It is used ONLY to activate Hill descent-

NO - no button for the Hill hold function- The manual clearly mentions this- Yes it works quite well need to get used to this -Normal instinct is to use the hand brake.

Hi f@lcon and other XUV owners,

Can you please tell the actual road tax amount paid to Bangalore RTO as indicated by the tax receipt?

Is it same as what you've shown in your post below?

I'm having doubts if the dealer is charging more for tax. As per my understanding, road tax in Bangalore including cess should be 17.6% of ex showroom value (which should have been 212510).

Thanks.

f@lcon, one more question.

I'm not getting how to skip to the next folder while you're playing an MP3 CD.
ie, You're playing a song in FolderA. The >> button will play next song in FolderA. How to skip to first song in FolderB?

Mine is a W8 and hence it's the touch screen infotainment system.

- press the 'list' button to get a complete view of all the songs in the current folder (Folder A)
- Press the '<<' or '>>' button which are located close to the 'list' button to change the folder selection.
I have used the same with my MP3 CDs & Ipod genre change,
cheers
