I just test drove a pre-owned 2012 Fortuner AT. Drives very smooth, interiors were clean and well maintained. Has clocked 65k km. I checked the service records. The Bonnet and Left headlights were replaced, bumpers are original(could have rear ended into a truck). The service advisor who went through the reports said there's no other complaints and the vehicle is clean.
These guys are quoting around 21lacs for the vehicle. Would much appreciate some advice and pointers regarding the price and what else to look out for. I am trading in my Loyal Steed Innova (1.2lac km) nothing wrong with the car, just that I am bored after 6 years and that many km!! Thanks in advance....

Hi Satyanu28. Just came across your post while browsing old threads. Have you purchased the car yet. The price appears okayish, perhaps you could bargain for reduction of 50K or whereabouts. Similar pricing in Delhi for consolation. Cheers.

Folks,

Need an advice. I am planning to buy a used fortuner, getting a sweet deal in used car space as well. its a Dec 2010 , grey colour , a 4*4 beast with 96K on the ODO. tyres are new, and the car looks pretty well maintained.
Asking price is 9.5 LPA. good deal?

Secondly, is 96K not too much? I am also concerned about the service and maintenance costs once i go ahead with the deal,

inputs/suggestions appreciated

I think you need to look at this thread:

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...0l-4x4-mt.html

135K when ACE F355 bought it.

Does the 2.5L Fortuner sell in any numbers at all? I was looking at the specs the last day and viewed in isolation from the 3L the specs are not all that bad. For one it matches the 3L in torque and is almost 200kgs lighter.

I personally like the front grille and the black accent treatment of the 2.5 L TRD (only available in this trim) much better than big brother. However I was hard pressed to find even a single review of this variant in any Indian website.

Drive on,
Shibu.

Slight correction (INR equivalent):

Petrol 4x2 : 32.4 Lacs
Diesel 4x2 : 40.6 Lacs
Diesel 4x4 : 41.2 Lacs

Petrol here is equivalent of 46 Rs/ Liter & Diesel 48 Rs / Liter

It looks a good deal to me. Toyota SUVs are long term workhorses. After a thorough checkup (with a seasoned mechanic), you can go for it.

That's a fantastic deal. In fact price is a little low IMO. Do a thorough check, go through service records. Make sure that the 4x4 system is working fine, sometime people abuse it in 4HL or 4L on tarmac.

Its a great deal, don't miss it, its a steal at 9.5 lacs. Just be sure to get it inspected once by a competent mechanic (good to invest a thousand rupees or so for a look over and test drive).

Considering a Toyota, 96K is not much, the only thing is that it should not have been abused (that you will know when you TD it). I have been looking for a used Wrangler in Colombia and the minimum mileage I am getting is in the range of 1 to 1.2 lacs at a cost equivalent to INR 10 lacs.

Hi..I need advice.. i'm getting a Fortuner AT 2014 model with 72k kms on the clock. The asking price is 20.75.... Do you think i should go for it. Isn't it a little steep considering the kms done and what are the expenses that i can expect after this kind of mileage? Any advice would be helpful.

Yes, considering the KMs done, its bit high (may be around 20% high). I guess, around 15-16L would be a good price. Though it is only 2 years old, Odo reading does matter!

Standard asking price for the given model. Can negotiate for 30-40k. Generally that is the pricepoint here in Delhi.

Theres another car that has come up. Its a 2014 TRD sportlivo automatic fortuner with just 14k on the odo. The asking price though is 24.25!!! Does it make sense?

The 4x2 version would just make this already successful SUV invincible.
Assuming the new one will be launched in November, use that fact as a negotiating point, and try to bid around 20 and increase a bit. In my personal openion 20-22L would be a nice price.
