Thank you!
I am planning to make the change to bilsteins. Lets see how it goes.
20kmpl was just added later and had nothing to do with the slope part if you were referring to that. I achieved it as an average on a trip from Bangalore to Srirangapatna.

Congrats on your beast.

Just wondering if the rear ac vents and the slight rear bump make the 5th occupant comfortable on a long journey?

Bilstein; won't void your warranty early on?

Do keep updating your thread. Wish you many miles of trouble free ownership

Thank you!!

There are no rear ac vents. There is a hump though. But it really wasn't a problem on a 450kms trip that we went on. It was 5 people and none complained about anything. In fact i got very good feedback saying it was supremely comfortable contrary to my concerns for the middle passenger.

Will keep updating and try my best to keep it interesting!

Thank you!! Picture were taken by my dad and friend.
Actually there were quite a few modded cars and they were really looking good. Got a sneak-peek of T-Jet's performance at mutthathi. All in all it was a nice experience!!
Hope to see you soon in the Cruze club!!

Do post a detailed report of your car choosing process. Seeing your participation in the other threads, I'd say it'll be a complete guide to anybody else looking to buy a car in this segment!!

Suggestion: Any modification can wait, but if you can, get the tires changed right after delivery itself. The car is capable of much more in every aspect once you give it better shoes.

Sizes available on stock rim would be
205/60R16 and 225/55R16
Sizes available on 17 inch rims would be
205/55R17 and 225/50R17!

Ya the tires will get changed right after delivery itself and will be in stock sizes-most probably michelin plcs as do not have continentals in my Kanpur city.Does bridgestone have any tyres in this class for cruze which will be as quite as plc but a little more durable?

Not really sure about this. Usually bridgestones are not held in comparison with Michelin when it comes to comfort. Yokohoma and Continentals are the competitors. Experts can chip in more. There is a thread on tires for Cruze in the modifications part. Do check it out.

Did a one day trip to Mangalore (Had small work there)!! Left at around 0530 and reached Mangalore at around 1215. Roads are in pristine condition!! 4-lane till Bellur cross. Its 2-lane (under construction 4-lane) Chennrayapatna. Then it regular two lane but smooth tarmac till Sakleshpura. From then on its Beautiful Ghats with about 15 kms of moderate roads. Rest is perfect roads. Traffic is sparse. Had a blast pushing the Beast through the ghats.

On our way back, encountered horrendous rain from Chennarayapatna. Bangaloreans will know what I'm talking about. That's about 150 Kms of continuous pouring rain at night. Visibility was pretty low. The rain was unrelenting so continued driving but with utmost caution. Took about 2 and a half hours to complete that stretch as this was my first night drive as well (Hate night driving, hence had always avoided it).

The Beast performed flawlessly!! Didn't bottom out anywhere. Had 30psi all round. Nobody complained about comfort. Although everybody complained about me "CRAWLING LIKE A BULLOCK CART" when I was at 100kmph on the smooth expressway (they were unaware of the speed and thought i was actually crawling). Such is the speed-masking ability of the Beast. It braved the ghats with aplomb providing me with all the fun I wished for. Thoroughly satisfied with the car.

Total distance covered: 770Lts.
Total time:7Hrs + 8Hrs.
Fuel economy: 16.5kmpl (MID figure).

Now onto the pics. Not many pics as I was too involved in the drive!

At Sakleshpura for coffee, just before the ghats:

The truckers bathe and wash their rides at these road-side waterfalls.

Beautiful!
