Launch - yes.
Bookings - ?

Well, What can I say ? Looks like TML & the media excluded me from any communication about bookings being opened.

I have seen 2 Stormes in Pune with a private number. Those might be given to the employees I guess. Looking at the things and reports on the Storme, it looks like it was all a thin air than any sort of STORM.

Bookings at Bangalore are expected to open by mid-December, at the earliest.

Devdath
any idea of Chennai launch dates ? also will Tata follow the same pricing across India ? That would immensely help in minimising the tax outgo given the change in slabs >10lakhs in many states

All the 4 south Indian states have been clubbed together for the launch Narayan. The prices, thus far, will be kept the same across India with differences due to transport, handling, local otroi etc.

Test drives also open from this time? Could we consider this as a confirmed period? :-)

Also did you mean to say the ex showroom price will be the same across India? Could not really make out what you wrote in the previous post, sorry!

Then they go into hibernation, while Tata fans claim that feed back from them is being incorporated into the product.

Eight months later they launch the product in a half baked launch with a lifeless speaker presenting the vehicle with absolutely no changes from the one shown at Auto expo. And now the vehicle is not available to potential buyers or to the press? (btw all press reports you read are from the limited access given at the launch).

What is up with you guys at Tata Motors? Did you just hire the product team from Hindustan Motors?
So all those promises of feedback ment nothing..

TDs will be open from the time of launch. The period is confirmed as of now with no delays seemingly visible.

The ex-showroom price of any vehicle is a break up different factors like ex-factory price, transportation and handling charges, transit insurance, local/state taxes and levies and a few other small components.

The ex-factory price is the same while there will be slight differences in the ex-showroom prices across the country due to the varying state taxes, transportation costs and the like.

Which is what surprises me because bookings and deliveries should have begun in the North by now. Has no one booked a Storme yet?

For the most of it, yes, which is bad.

Saw a few Storme in Gurgaon in the past week, One at Car accessories shop on old Delhi Road, another near HUDA city centre metro station, first one had some some fancy number, another with temp plates. Also saw 2 new ones together being driven on the expressway.

Could have clicked the pics of the first one but didn't feel like doing it.
So people are taking deliveries here in Gurgaon, thats confirmed.

As we all still endlessly wait for the official review, here are some reviews of the storme done by various other sites. If you haven't gone through them yet, give it a try. Although they are not as detailed as the team-BHP review, they still make up for a nice reading.

Here is the one done by moterbean :-

This one's by topgear-India :-

All of them are the first drive reports from the media drive. All these magazines are still waiting for the media Stormes to be given to them by TML.

Exactly!! I wonder why is Tata playing the game at a snails pace??
Although the XUV was also launched in a similar manner with priority being given to a few regions, however the media vehicles were available soon after the launch.

Why tata why

Maybe the parts used are from a new vendor or so and they cant meet the need?

Even Behram or someone else close to the program hinted at this being an issue. However, two things worry me. One, why is it that TATA is not able to garner vendors and secondly, what happens if vendors were to pull out at a later date? Again reliability issues for the owners!

Saw two of 'em. Temporary HR registrations. So, deliveries have started in Chandigarh region too.

Could not click as they were heading in the opposite direction.
