Some pictures of AD's car I got today. Ignore the camera distortion, some error probably.

Saurabh yaar, hope you are doing well. Have heard from you after a long time. So, I am glad that my efforts and suggestions of my team here are getting appreciation. For me passion is the driving force behind everything I do in my life. I like to live my life to the max every single day. Car modification/ customization was like fantasy for me since my teens and love for cars was there right from childhood. Realization of my ideas about it is credited to my extended beloved family members here.

Coming to Ertiga, it will be bought by this week. Presently I am seeking help on the forum to decode it's VIN. The reason for booking Ertiga was that I was planning to have a comfortable car for Paa and would like to convert into a Lounge sort of car after a couple of months. The process of reading and discussions about it are going on.

Thanks a lot buddy.

All well. Have you got the VIN of the new car which you are getting?

Hope this will help: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/buying...ml#post2249679 (ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN))

Folks! Yesterday went to Crown Honda Noida in Sector 63 to get a minor electrical fault rectified. The car's right side indicator wiring malfunctioned due to which the indicators stopped blinking and became stationary. Here are some pics:

Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1510.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1512.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1518.jpg <br />
It took almost 1 hour 30 minutes to get it rectified. The technician appeared knowledgeable and told me that neither the indicator lever nor any short circuit was there since I thought that probably the lever would have given up. Pics of work in progress:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1511.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1513.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1514.jpg <br />
Finally, the issue was solved and then everything got re-fixed.<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1515.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1519.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1521.jpg <br />
Well it was my 1st visit to Crown Honda Noida so here is my feedback on their service and customer handling;<br /> <br /> <u>Customer Handling:</u> After reaching there I asked at the reception for an electrician and was promptly referred to one. The technician Mr. Bhandari was very much capable and skilled in rectifying the issue and did not try to push me for anything.<br /> <br /> <u>Service Advisor</u>: Mr. Soban Singh is a simple and intelligent person who did not try to take me for a ride unlike Ace Honda Noida. He even charged me reasonably i.e Rs 843/- inclusive of taxes for the labor charges.<br /> <br />
However there are 2 executives over there from whom I would suggest that one should stay away from;<br /> <br />
1) Mr. Arindam: Firstly he refused to tell me an approximate time which will be taken to rectify the fault in my car. As per rule of Crown Honda prior to start of the work the customer has the right to know the time limit for the job.<br /> <br />
Further he wanted me not to stand at the service booth when the car was getting repaired. I bluntly told him "<i>I won't leave my car on your responsibility at any cost until the work is over and I don't care whether you find it awful or any of your seniors feel bad about it</i>" So I stood there and got it done in front of me.<br /> <br />
2) Mr. Pradeep: He told that since your car has external fitments so the extended warranty can't cover anything plus your car is not serviced at a ASC after December 2012 so we are not able to get the records. I replied "<i>I don't have the time to listen to the history, will you be able to rectify the fault or not? Further I said Ace Honda Chor hai (they are thieves) so I refuse to go there.</i>" <br /> <br />
Listening to this he got alert and gave up on me. Later on while billing he told Soban "<i>1000-1200 ki labor laga de</i>" (Charge him 1000-1200 for labor). I got annoyed and told him right away that "<i>you are out of your mind as I have got no spares changed so won't pay on adhoc basis. Understood!</i>" After this Soban checked and did the needful.<br /> <br />
While leaving I thanked Soban and overall I feel it's much better in addressing the concerns of customer as compared to Ace Honda apart from these two rodents.<br /> <br />
Thanks.</div> <div style=

Folks! Today I changed the Spoiler of my car to a Lip Spoiler which I purchased from Auto Marc, Defence Colony (New Delhi). The new spoiler was made of ABS and instead of getting it painted I got it matte wrapped in Black. The spoiler costed me INR 1750/- and I paid INR 350/- for wrapping.

The wrapping job was done at Karol Bagh (Delhi). Apart from the spoiler got the boot and roof partially wrapped in matte Black. So, in total for all the wrapping I paid only INR 800/-.

The reasons why I got it wrapped are as follows:

1) Less time and money consumed in the job

2) No tension of paint matching.

3) The wrap can be changed easily in case of damage unlike paint.

This is not a imitation lip spoiler which is sold in Kashmere Gate. It is properly designed one.

Here are some pics:

Auto Marc, Defence Colony:

Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1666.jpg <br />
The old look of one of the wackiest City Ivtec in Delhi:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1661.jpg <br />
The new spoiler:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1663.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1668.jpg <br />
The old spoiler being taken off:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1665.jpg <br />
The look after the old spoiler is removed:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1669.jpg <br />
At Auto Marc I saw this beautiful Benz AMG in Black:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1662.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1667.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1664.jpg <br />
Now, I had some more free time to kill so visited Karol Bagh to check if the new spoiler can be wrapped and placed today itself. So here is the shop from where I got it done:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1671.jpg <br />
The wrapping in progress:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1670.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1672.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1675.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1676.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1677.jpg <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1679.jpg <br />
The reason for getting the boot partially wrapped was this:<br /> <br /> <a href=Honda City i-Vtec 1.5L with K&N, Nitto SS Exhaust, LEDs & Rockford Fosgate speakers-photo1674.jpg <br />
Also, apart from this the car will be going to IDE Autoworks, Gurgaon tomorrow afternoon. All thanks to my friend Rohan for helping me and fixing it up for me.<br /> <br />

Thanks.
Thats a regular C220 CDI, Classic model with a fake AMG kit on!

I told you the lip spoiler would look much better than the other one! Just that you now have the spoiler that was ordered for me! Need to stop being lazy!

All the best with the IDE guys. Himanshu and Ankit are an absolute delight to interact with. Do have the coffee at their office and share the pics.

The AD, it took me more than an hour to do the detailing in this thread.

One thing that comes to my mind is, The passion and love you have towards your car. S/he is bleeming with glory and s/he is looking kick ass and drooling.

Couple of suggestions from my end,

1. the stickering at the rear esp. both the team-bhp's is a sore thumb. The placement is completely unjustified. Request to correct it asap.
2. Know your love towards Sam, so place the JBL properly. Believe the place where it sits now was chosen because there were few other stickers above it previously which you got it removed.
3. Remove the side protectors in the front. For a guy who loves his car to the core would definitely knew how to drive it safe.

Once again very proud of your City.

Bhai, Thanks a ton for helping me and you are right both of them are very nice people. Only thing is that they do not except credit card at present.

Clicked a pic of the car when we met just now!

I think you are talking of the bumper corners right? Unfortunately they have been drilled and taking them out means repainting of the entire bumper.

It's team work that has given me this result. Without the support of my extended family here I would not be able to give this car it's present look.

So Folks! With the help of my dear friend Rohan I took the car to IDE and got the front fenders wrapped in Gloss Black and the Radiator Grill in Gloss Black and the side indicators also blacked out.

Here are the pics:

AD bhai, your handle is 3952, car is 3851....each doublet reduced by one...!

Anyway,

1) How is the final fit and finish when inspected from really up close?
2) Creases? Uneven spreading of the wrap?
3) Bubbles? I mean there are many "wrappers" whose work is "good from far but far from good"....!
4) Do they remove trims totally while wrapping? What about proper refitting? Some installers will give you back a few original clips...lol!
Don't mind my questions: if I am being a silly man, man! I am as noob as an owl, committing daylight robbery !

By the way, you have many different writing styles to your credit... !

LOL!!

It is very good. I used the economic gloss wrap which is reasonably priced and in the event of damage won't burn a whole in my pocket.

Nothing at all. Attention to detail is very good. The owner himself takes a proper look at the work.

Nothing like that sir. It is good from far and near both.

No trims were removed except the front mud flaps. I stood there and checked every bit but overall it was easy going and skilled people did the job.

Not at all sir. I am honored to answer your questions. You know if these team bhpians would not have been there I would have messed up with my Ivtec City. It is always a learning process. We all learn new things from each other.
