Default Re: The Red Devil - VW Polo 1.5L GT TDI: Update 7500 Service Done

Hello All, been busy munching miles
Just a Quick update, had the regular 7500Kms checkup done and fixed a few niggles.
1. Annoying sound from the steering/instrument cluster
Cause: A loose connecter, do not have the details but the issue fixed
2. Doors making noise on uneven roads
Cause: Door locking mechanism adjusted and aligned

The engine oil was topped up, hardly 250ml was required, I also opted for the 3M Paint Protection package.

For all who want to know the fuel economy, the worst I have ever got is 16.5 Kmpl and the best was 19.x.

Great looking car. Just wanted to confirm whether the headlights were separate for high beam and low beam, meaning, do you have 2 different bulbs for hi & low or is it just one 65/55w bulb for both beams?

I wasn't able to get a clear answer on this because visually, it looks like there are 2 different bulbs for high & low (one in each barrel) but the website doesn't clarify this.

Thanks!

Hi Zahir, you get two separate bulbs for high and low beam.
Hope this helps.

Cheers

Yes it does. The stock bulbs are kind of ok but a powerful bulb on the high beam would have been perfect.

Have you considered osram night breakers ? They're amazing & stock replacements.

Would you happen to know the bulb sizes for high & low?

Hi anshurao,

Welcome to the GT family! My GT TSI has been a hoot to drive so far, and she sports the same red colour. I'm sure the 250 N-m torque must be bringing a smile to your face whenever you step on the gas. Enjoy the car, she's a beauty

Hey, am out of India for over a year now and the car is not in use. Last I remember, consistently got about 18kmpl in the city and ~22 on the highway.
Congratulations and enjoy your drive😀
