I dont know the status in Pune or Mumbai, but here in Delhi and Gurgaon, no dealer is showing any sort of enthusiasm.
In Delhi no Dealer is havinf Adventure and only one "A-one motor" gave me quotation, and currently even they dont have this car.
In gurgaon Dhingra Motors is having one in metallic Silver colour. But that one is standing like a abandoned piece, which is not even washed. The Sales executive guy told me that it will loook much better one's its washed polished. The front Disc brakes were corroded and showing redish corrisive colour. They even dont have a catalogue or brochure of it
I agaon went to them after 1 week but still the same car in same condition, without any brochure.
Whatever details about this car i knew, its from websites only.
Anyways i have told them I would like have one in Black colour, but they are saying that its not manufactured, and if yiou want one you have to wait for 2 months atleast.
Phew............
Its like I am fighting with myself, that I want to buy this car.
And everyday these dealers are giving me a extra reason to regret my decision.
anyways I am on hold now and hoping for things to improve in coming week.
Adventure is a very good car. But sure you want to go through all this?

Between, i still prefer Adventure is good old RED!

Default You must write to FIAT for this kind of Apathy....write to Fiat Italy as well

Hi!

I suggest, you write to Fiat India as well as Fiat Italy for the dealer apathy in Delhi and Gurgaon.

In Mumbai, its not an issue and dealer have stock in the showroom.

Regards

I got a call from FIAT
As per themm, the Adventure is only made in Silver Frost colour now, and also its manufactured in Kurla plant.
The cost involved for Painting 2 or 3 cars is huge compared to the price, so they do paint job in lot of 30 to 35 Cars.
So for now no Formula Red, No Thunder Black.
As its being manufactured at Kurla plant, which ultimately have to be shifted to Ranjangaon, so Iam a bit apprehensive that at that time FIAT may introduce a updated version of Adventure.
The Adventure which is available in Brasil has more features compared to the indian counterpart.
Anyways as per FIAT for the coming 3-4 months there is no plan for either phasing out Adventure or rolling out a newere Version.

But what do you guys have to say about SILVER FROST? I haven't seen any Formula Red or thunder Black Adventure on ROAD(rather i have seen only 1 Adventure on road). So what do you have to say about the relative looks of Adventure in Silver Frost with Black Bumpers

It does look good. I saw one in Bangalore (near Defence colony park), with dark leather interiors and it definitely looked good.
I had chosen Formula Red though as my previous car was Silver too.

raghav, its just that the silver colour wont give you that sporty look when it is combined with those black side claddings. Silver would look more mature and professional (if you could call it so). But as thalavoy said you should do something to those seat covers. It would actually change the way the car looks.

Default Manufactured in Kurla Plan....?

I have spoken to one of the dealers in Mumbai. He has the following things to say!

1. Nothing is manufactured in Kurla plant and the 565,000 ex showroom price has OCTROI component if you want to buy in Mumbai
2. This clearly states that, the car is being brought into Mumbai from Ranjangaon plant, as when I bought my Adventure, it was without OCTROI for Mumbai customers.
3. I am surprised to find this statement from FIAT directly...the Kurla plant is defunct now!
4. The dealer in Mumbai has formula RED available, so where is the question on only Silver Frost being available!

I suggest, please speak to one of the dealer in Mumbai

By the way, Silver Frost looks good!

@ omar

I dont know what exactly these guys are doing.
He told me that they have yet to shift the Manufacturing of Adventure to Ranjangaon, and its still being manufactured in Kurla Plant.
It does gives a hint that they are shelling out the old stock, but that person told me that the manufacturing is of June or July 2007, and we can check that.
So its very confusing, I would definately call some dealer from Mumbai.
I am not that much aware about the Octroi concept.
And if any dealer is providing it in RED then definately I would like clear the picture.
Thanks for your feedbacks and suggestions

Before you take delivery, make sure the dealer is not trying to give you his old stock!

Try to find a tag attached to rear side of driver seat. It can be accessed from rear seat. In my vehicle it was there and it had the date of manufacture .
