Congratulations GTO! The attention to detail is mind boggling! I almost felt that I'm reading an official review! And the timing of this review couldn't have been better. Yesterday only, I was drooling over a pre-worshipped F10 550i (in Dubai)! The 530d is the ultimate beast in my opinion. Once again, you've outdone yourself in this review!
But yes, even the 3.0 TDI in the A6 is a true beast! My uncle owns one (2013 model) in Mumbai, and I absolutely love driving it on the expressway though its nowhere near the driving pleasure of a 530d.

In the time that I took to read your ownership review, a dozen or more comments have been posted.
I can only say two things about that:
Your review was super comprehensive and kept me engrossed
&
Your review is a big hit

Many congratulations, sir! I hope the 6 under the hood serve faithfully for the years to come.

As always, you have made a sound argument favouring used cars, and I turn green with envy when I see your fleet. Still, and unfortunately, they just aren't for us at this point in time. The amount of dedication, patience and passion you got to have is just overwhelming. Of course, you have it all, so pre-worshiped cars and you get along well.

Lastly, a big thank you to Rudra sir and S2!!! for the amazing photography!

Have a good time flooring it!

Congrats GTO, You've got yourself a sleeper.

Who needs an M5 when the 530d is this good ?

6 year warranty on a used car , what's not to love about your deal , enjoy many happy miles ahead.

@ GTO - Dude, what is this? Encyclopaedia of your car?

I am at work and I've spent 1 hour reading this post and loving it very much. Lots more to go, but unfortunately work needs to be done. I'll get home and finish reading later.

I can see that your post is written from your heart - an absolute gem of a machine you've got there!

Thanks!

Whoa! Its always a massive "YAY" moment when a Gujju-bhai buys his Bimmer

Much Congos GTO ! Heres to wishing you a million happy wild rides with Ze' Beast!

What a review, this! Not just that 'Detailed' is an understatement, you've even whacked them for some stuff!

10,000 km/yr - that'll be like barely a few hours a week!

Too much penance restricting yourself to that, when'll we come of use bro? We'll hold the gates for abit, You just keep driving!

Warmest Regards,
Bhavin

Just got down to reading it since 4pm!! but still need to go back to read some parts. It's insanely detailed GTO.

This is like the bible of the BMW 530D.

That said the car sounds absolutely insane. I was sitting in the back seat when Ajmat was driving the 530D and man looking at the smile plastered on his face and the brutal acceleration of the car, I can only imagine what you must be feeling owning one now.

It truly is a beast. Congrats and happy motoring.

PS: Fantastic pics by the old man and S2!. Mind blowing those exterior pics.

Congratulations GTO. Excellent detailed review that has every inch covered.

It took me 34 days to write my Alto K10 AMT's review on my laptop (with some late night writing). I can imagine how many days it would have taken you to get this review out.

Hats off to you, Rudra Sen and S2!!! for the photography. I want learn the tricks under you guys for picturing our beauties to such levels.

First my heartfelt congratulations on getting this black beauty. I know exactly how you feel when you get a good preowned vehicle, for I got my Fiesta with just 1000 on the ODO at 60% of on road price. Coming to the review, its a Baahubali of car reviews. It doesn't get any better. Happy miles.

• the gear lever engages 'Park' mode automatically it automatically & physically moves to the right (regular position), and back into "P" mode.

• The electronic parking brake automatically engages after you switch off the car (if you drove with 'auto-hold'). It automatically disengages if you've shut the door, have buckled up, press the brake pedal & engage D (or R). That's one less thing to do before / after driving.

• auto wipers & auto headlamps

• If the battery's charge gets to dangerously low levels, the ignition will switch off to preserve enough juice to start the engine. If the battery level drops too low, the computer will switch some functions off so that you are able to start the car.
Hmm, why would it not automatically start the engine and let it run until the battery has regained some charge? And if it's running low on fuel, automatically drive itself out to the nearest fuel pump?? Read somewhere that self-drive will be so mature and so perfect by 2060 that humans driving cars would be completely outlawed; so this may not be just wishful thinking

Though my personal favorite when in comes to lines, overall proportions, the kidney grilles etc. has always been the 7 series E38, the 530d also looks real classy. Congratulations on a great find and wishes for good times with the car...
