Congrats Mi10, brilliantly written report. Definitely deserve 5* rating.
Great to see another 1.6 in white color. Momo is becoming the first choice of wheels for most.
I can easily correlate your purchase decision with mine that ended to S-Cross! Please keep it updated with. Curious to see your update on ICE.

Wow! What presentation skills! Your infographics were better than the ones by Maruti.. I am sure you are a point of envy at your work place? Mind sharing your powerpoint/infographic skills with us? Thanks for the superbly detailed review!

Superb review ! hats off for the wonderful presentation.

have to ask you this - do you feel a remap is required for 1.6 ? It already has enough torque and pull with stock configuration is what i understood from your review.

Congrats Mi10, the ownership report was the best i have read till date. The way you depicted with pictures, reactions examples of friends, family and collegues, rapid fire part, phrases at beginning of each page, and finally complete details of the car deserve more than 5 stars.

Wow, excellent thread.
The start, story, narration, and the photos are all wonderfully put. The history of the Rapid shows your love for it.
Finally, you plonked for the car that I would have also. IMO, the only reason for buying the S-Cross would be for that 1.6.
Congratulations and wishing you a very happy year with it.

Brilliant. Loved the report. It was a sad sight of the Penguin in the flood. But like some one said, All's well that ends well.

Wish you happy miles with the S-Cross. Remap please

Wow what a brilliant review! Congratulations on the brilliant car! The price seems more 'rational' now.

Nice choice of wheels as well!

And finally, sorry about your Rapid. I'm yet to read that review but I'm sure it will be a nice read.

Congrats on your new steed. Wish you more and more happy miles... S Cross is an amazing product and recently when I went to take the test drive of Baleno, the sales representative was heavily into up-selling, continuously talking about the S Cross. And seriously, when I took the test drive, I was blown away by the quality of the interiors and understated looks.

Also after Maruti has started offering the discounts on S Cross, the number of sightings have definitely increased, especially in Hyderabad. Slowly people are getting to know about the product and that's some positive news for Maruti.

I just can't wait for your ICE and performance upgrades. When you can tune the Rapid from 103 bhp and 260 NM to 166 bhp and 360 NM, I wonder what will be performance figures of S-Cross with it's 1.6 MJD engine. Maybe we can learn a few things from you.

Thanks.

Brilliant review, as explosive as the 1.6 engine itself.

Reading the review helped me relive the satisfaction of test driving the beast, which I did five-six times.

I almost bought the car, a couple of times. But every time I was shot down by the missus for lacking in the looks department, size, boot space etc.

I tried once again when the discounts touched Rs 3 lacs and then rs 5 lacs. But no luck. And I had to put my plans in the backburner once again

Now, I have to tell you, reading your review has rekindled the desire to look at the car once again.

Excellent review I say, deserves straight 5 stars,no questions asked. The alloys looks superb and compliments the stance of the car quite well.
It's sad to see cars who have decent engines and good handling not fairing well in India. For me coming from a Swift Di,the Scross is the perfect car as an upgrade but only the 1.6 since buying the 1.3 DDIS again wont make sense for me. I need to upgrade by June. If the 1.6 fits my budget I will be the most happiest person else it would be the Figo TDCi.

Congratulations Mi10! That's one hell of a review. Maruti must be feeling proud

I loved the infographics you've presented here. Feel sorry for your penguin, though.

How about plasti-dip'in the ORVM, door handles and the roof?

Nicely written!! full 5 stars, voted!

With Maruti, I would say they have that brand image of cheaper cars. So, Good to see someone has the courage to go against that mind set. Definitely, a brave decision, kudos.

Nevertheless, Maruti I do have my doubts on there cheap parts, so hope this time they set a new trend.

Many congratulations on the ride.

A brilliantly presented review Sir! Hats off to your writing skills. Wish you and your family a lot of safe and joyful miles in the Scross.

Sorry for the loss on your penguin, but this is what life is meant for. A sad evening makes us open the window for a sunny and blissful morning.

Just waiting for the mods and remaps to come up. Congratulations once again Sir.

Regards
Aakarsh

A brilliantly presented ownership review; you have a flair for writing and like someone told, you are a blogger, no doubt.

Congratulations on purchase of this brilliant car, a car which is under-estimated by our perceptions on the Maruti products. Wishing you and your family happy miles with the S-Cross!
