I do not know the cause. It could be found out only by opening up the turbo charger. It was a very minor oil leak and since I had good rapport with service people, they pushed Hyundai for warranty claim. There was no performance loss or any error codes in Hyundai obd scan.

Hello team,
I noticed a kich-kich sound from right front suspension while driving on bad roads. Also this sound can be produced by shaking the car. I suspect it to be rubber mounting of front right strut. Advice please.

I have driven 150 kms in each mode and did tankfull method to check FE.
Stock:17 kmpl
P1:17.5 kmpl
P2:16 kmpl
E :18.2 kmpl

Hello team,
I want to share my new observation about diesel tronic box in my car. There is considerable power gain when I shift modes to p1 or p2 below 100 kmph. Today I was driving at 120 kmph in stock mode and felt no difference when I switched to p1 or p2. I tried this multiple times and same result. Is it because tuning box is not making any significant gain at top end?

Horn not working
I noticed Intermittent working of horn. It finally gave up and stopped. I thought it was a minor issue. I went to HASS thinking to adjust/replace the horn. To my surprise, horn was perfectly OK. The culprit was switch/socket behind the steering wheel panel. It was diagnosed by OBD tool. It is a common socket for horn and airbag sensor. It comes as an unit and costs 2500 rs. SA said it is a common complaint for Hyundai cars with airbags.

I have run 33K KM post brake pads change. I noticed huge sound from front left side brakes yesterday. To my surprise, brake pads were fully worn out and even disc was badly damaged with scratches. I am thinking to replace the front disc along with brake pads. I should have driven with worn out pads for couple of KMS for the disc to get damaged. But I did not notice any sound before. Brake pads are supposed to have indicator which produces sound when pads are worn out. Grand i10 has good sound insulation and would that be a reason for not noticing the sound?

New brake discs cost 2,000 Rs. I got the present brake discs faced at lathe for 500 Rs. Also I got new brake pads. Braking is fine now and facing turned out to be VFM.

Decided to remap once again!!

I have been using RD single channel box since few months. I had tried to remap with Code 6 before getting the box and it turned out to be one horrible experience. I was happy with power gain with RD box. There is good difference in mid range. But low and top end felt almost like stock. Now I am considering to give remap another shot (definitely not again with Code 6). I have already spoken to few tuners. I hope at least my next remap experience for Grand I10 would work out . There is no issue with RD box. But I know a good remap can totally transform the car. Power delivery across the revv band should be possible with a remap.

I have run 64,000 KM in 3 years. My car is out of warranty now. I am planning to service my car in some FNG from now. Hyundai dealers in Mangalore do not sell spare parts over the counter. 99rpm also doesn't sell Hyundai parts (though listed in their website). I have ordered ZIP air filter from parts big boss. Air filter is very easy to change. It costs 270 Rs for ZIP air filter.

I received the air filter (ZIP brand) from parts big boss. It was very easy to change air filter in Grand I10. Car is now ready to undergo remap next week .
