Then comes the arrogance part of the dealers, they ask you to pay full amount so they can expedite the process.Fine we do that also but once you pay the money these people behave as though they don't know you.My parents make an inquiry and these people hardly bother to even give any sort of details. Finally it takes a stern voice from me to hear that car is in transit and would arrive in 10 days time.10days pass and I am given a reason that floods have delayed shipment. Now its nearly a month since my car is in transit ,where is maruti's factory in the north pole, even then it would have reached faster.

......
Exactly my case too.... had paid all the amount upfront on 6th June... after the salesman & manager convinced me that they'll priortize my booking.. and deliver the car by 15th to 20th June... a total let down.. I shouldn't have bowed down in paying the amount upfront.. its a long wait.. not sure how long can I endure this...

Not sure if it is possible. Why not all those who have paid full amount but not received car, assemble in dealer's shop one day and shout. Same can be done at MUL's office also.

Guess you can call TOI, D&H, etc newspapers to gather the news and publish. This should attract MUL's serious attention.

Must update on my new sx4 vxi -chennai to coimbatore and back trip this weekend,
Mileage- 12.43 with A/c(throughout)(speed upto 125 )
Ride & handling- excellent
Suspension- very good
cabin noise- higher than my scorpio crde

Mileage is a woorying factor, hope after first service it improves.

Pradeep,
The sweet spot for any vehicle should be around 80-100 km/hr which should return maximum mileage. Since it is a new car have you completed 1000 km & 1st service ?

hi guys,

Got my SX4, Zxi yesterday, hope to go for a long drive this weekend, the stock tyres that came with it are JK Vectra, what is the opinion of experts in this matter? Is it better to change these and go for some low profile tyres ?

Any members who have got it done ?

The audio seems ok to me so would wait a while and see if I like it or need to change, I think changing the stereo would spoil the look of the centre panel so maybe just the speakers or anything else ? Pls suggest.

what about underbody rust protection coating? is it advisable and should I get it done at the dealer workshop ?

Thanks in advance...

Shanky

12.43, with 100% ac and speeds upto 125kmph is bad???

Man! Thats almost a figure you'd usually get from small hatches.

Crazy_Driver, since he has mentioned predominantly highway driving, that is on the lower side for the SX4. Even in the range of 14kmpl on highway would have been more acceptable.

12.43 is not bad, considering the speeds he has driven at. I got around 13.8 on my Fiesta 1.6 at similar speeds--with occasional dashes at 150. My car had completed 1st servicing and had clogged 2000 kms on the odo during that trip.
