Man ! A Black Chevy Optra always looks the best and I do not know if others have experienced this, I have always felt that a black optra (whether the old or the new model) always looks a little longer than any other colors
Congrats on your new car!!!

( not done tank full as of now)

The GM guys say that the running in period is 1k kms/1 month. Er, bus 1k? They said that I could rip the car after 1k kms. Any suggestions guys?

dont drive like a maniac, thats the only run in advice you need. The engine is pre run in. However keep it down for 1000 Km in interests of engine life longevity.

Ya, 1k is enough IMHO, i did the same thing with my Optra, once 1k was done and then she saw 6000RPM

Completed 1k last night. Promptly took the car up to 160. But sadly, the high speed manners leave a lot to be desired. Car feels very light and there is considerable body roll. I would happily sacrifice some amount of ride comfort for better handling. In fact, my CRDi Elantra felt more composed. Then again, I'm used to one of the better handling cars in the country. In a straight line, the car is amazing though.

shuvd - I think the Tyres are to blame, the Goodyear GT3's are horrible, go for 205/55/15 and you will see a marked improvement.

@ Busa - I think so too. But isn't 205/60 the proper upsize? Another gripe. The stock illumination is very bad. I mean, even with the fogs switched on its inadequate. Asked the A.S.S. to fit Phillips Crystal vision of the same wattage. They refused. On a happy note, Ripped the Magnum again last night. The car IS rapid!
