Thumbs up New car owner report - Ford Fiesta EXI Petrol

Got delivery of the new fiesta last fri. Have been driving quite a lot throughout the weekend and enjoying every bit of it. I have been driving a Santro since 2003, which is a very good car no doubt, but obviously the driving feel of the fiesta is much better (double the price so obvious!!). Frankly speaking, my wife & myself do not feel like getting out of the car and just want to drive on and on.

Pros:
- great driving exp.
- good road handling
(haven't tried very high speed on h'way though as new car)
- good looking

Cons:
- At low gear with A/C on, the pickup is not that good
- some basic features which cannot be added later (like rear de-fogger, rear seat head-rests) should have been provided in EXI too
- rear seat space is not that much considering it's a sedan

Overall happy with the car so far. Yet to find out about fuel efficiency (which is supposed to be it's USP I am told), road handling at high speeds on h'way and post sales service of the dealer (which generally for Ford is supposed to be bad).

Nice short and concise review there. 1.4 or 1.6. Actually, your pickup problem hints toward a 1.4.

I dont think the Fiesta 1.4 petrol is the FE leader....but enjoy the handling. Its a hoot to drive!

Just a small reminder so that you wont be disappointed later. 1.4 returns 10 to 11 Kms in the city driving with AC

It's a 1.4 version. Sorry for missing that out.

It's the platinum color

Congrats and welcome to the Fiesta club. I own a EXI myself (Jan 06 model)and the FE is close to 12 in city with AC. Highways it returns close to 16-18 (express way) provided you are in the economy band and AC is off. It’s a great car to drive and hope you enjoy your ownership experience.
BTW rear head rests can be added at the dealers end if you are ready to shell out some $$$.

Congrats & welcome to growing & satisfied Fiesta club.

Got a Jan 2007 EXI (Red). Like Racing said, FE will be around the 12 mark once the oil change is done after 6 months.

I am planning to buy 1.6 SXi. Did you get any discounts/freebies... if so what? That could help me bargain. Right now the dealer (apart from the 2 year standard extended warranty, is willing to provide around 10-15000 worth accessories.

Default Ford Fiesta 1.4Exi

hi guys,
bought a red Fiesta 1.4P Exi March 08, clocked about 3500kms. Gives me 11km with A/c in the city and gave me 14 (well 13.88!)kmpl on the highway. But the driving experience, comfort, handling are superb. I love the looks too..
Hope the service will be good
cheers

Congrats on the new buy and do post the pics

With the new Fiesta lurking around, I guess the current model (Which according to me looks not that bad) will be available with discounts/freebies in the coming months. Plus given the FE, I guess its a good city+highway driving car
