Good day to all T-Bhp Members.

Got my my i 10 era delivered on 13 Nov.
Took it for a spin upto Mahabaleswar.
Found -
1)Brakes...brakes....brakes. they are terrible, very spongy and very frightening.
2)Ride at high speeds becomes v very pitchy.Body roll is less. But the suspension is a little on the stiffer side.I felt that the car does pitch a lot .You get a feel that he pivot of this pitch is right behind the front seats.I drive a Ikon 1.6 and the immediate effect was of being sick and later felt a bit giddy and felt I would doze off.Well this is could be only with me .And may be some one else who has driven the i10 on curvy highway roads at 80 + speeds will tell how it is.
3)Very easy to manoeuver in the city.Stable at high speeds.Over all a satisfying car.
4)OVRM's give a good view.
5)The seats are a bit hard could do with more cushioning..The storage spaces in the dash and in between the front seats is great .Can hold up a variety of tit bits.

And now... if any one was to ask me personally if I am happy with i 10 ....I am not.I would have been more happy with either a Stile 1.6 (with all its issues if you are unlucky) or may be a swift.
The i10 will be a second car .Will be used by the family .Reliability, ownership ease are prime and it does its job well.
Regards
Naj

Suresh, the i10 has its boot lid also integrated to the central locking system on the car. Hence when the doors are unlocked, the boot lid is also in the unlocked state. In such a situation all one has to do is use the lever provided on the boot to open the lid. Now tell me, why would you require a seperate lever near the driver for the same? Its not like you need to unlock the boot with the key or anything !

This issue will be taken care off when they introduce the 1.2L engine which will also be shared with the upcoming i20. It will have around 80hp.

Well, I10 is not a power car, mainly aimed at good FE. Though a powerful engine might make it more enthusiastic, FE might take a hit. In India, one has to take care of FE. Hyundai have played safe with a 1.1. It promises FE.

Yes, the suspension is stiff. But not as hard as Santro. And there is never a perfect car I mean some things you get, and some you dont.

For me, I10 is the best choice as of now, and hopefully continue to be so. In this segment, you can be a class apart with it.

Congrats Achopraa !!!.

You are first one to buy i10, atleast in Team BHP.

I am sure, you would enjoy the new car which is fresh to the market and which definatly looks best among all cars in its segment.

Do write review of your experience(driving, ergonomics etc).

Cheers

Initial FE - My inital observations shows getting 15KMPH currently with 10% AC. This is in city condition (Delhi where shifting to fourth gear means a lot [])
I hope this will increase after the first service....

ne1 else with their observations...

I am still looking for its basic accessories in the market...like Mud flaps, mats, seat covers.

I think its 15 KMPL and not 15 KMPH, which is good one.

oops....galti se mishtake ho gaya

One thing I would like ur opinion on....
since the interiors are beige, hence the plastics used for the inner lining get dirty easily when entering/leaving car....
I have tried removing them using a wet cloth but to no avail....
how can we get rid of them.....

Well - I think we can say that Hyundai has certainly done something right with the i10 unlike its other cars of its stable.

Everyday I see a Truck being offloaded here at Agra opposite my Factory. I think he must be selling close to 15 i10 a day !!!!

And Hyundai must have the production also to cater to the huge demand.

I wish it could do something to the new expected Elantra & Tucson also - Price it right and load it right !!

Default Please give some detail information on the suspension

Hi,

I am planning to buy i10 for my parents. But I am more concerned about the suspension system of the i10.
I own Santro currently and not at all happy with the back seat comfort because of poor suspension.

Please if anybody of you who had taken a TD of this car can provide the detail about the rear seat comfort of this car. I liked the rear seat comfort of Getz. If anybody can provide information in comparison to getz how much bad/good it is.

I have checked by myself that they have changed the rear suspension.

Mileage as reported by these magazines :

Autocar :

City 12 kmpl
Highway - 16.3 kmpl

Overdrive:

City 15.43 Kmpl
Highway - 16.29 Kmpl

So how reliable are these figures?

The Autocar figures look more realistic for a 1.1 Liter 67 bhp car
