Thumbs up i am liking all the attention - My i10 :)

How it all Began

I was looking for a small/mid segment Car, petrol version within a price bracket of 4Lacs with an option to stretch a bit if getting a good deal.
My monthly driving would be around 300 Kms with occassional trips to Gurgaon/Noida/Faridabad.

This was going to be my first car so I was also looking for good after sales service, low maintenace etc.

The cars I considered befored finalising were: -
Alto/Wagon R/Swift/Accent/Getz/Santro/U-Va/Spark

Alto....Simly Nah
Wagon R....Everything great but my family members didnt like its looks
Swift....All good except the interiors but a bit costly.
Accent....Seemed great at 4.99 but was very outdated and also average was too less.
Getz....Just could not convince myself for this
Santro.....Finally I decided to take this.
U-Va....Liked this beauty a lot but heard about its high maintenace cost and exhorbiantly priced spares.
Spark....Not my taste

Also I went through the comparions of AutoCar and the discussions on the various forums.

Finally I made my mind for the Santro GLS version which was costing me around 3.80 On Road after including all the discounts.
I kept my decision to book it reserved since it was readily available and also there were specualtions of Hyunai Pa being launched.

October 31st
Hyundai Pa(now christened i10) launched....
Went through the launch pics the same night. The car seemed appealing. So i made my mind to check it out once.

November 2nd
The dealers in Chandigarh told me that finally the car has arrived in their showrooms. So i went for a TD.
Much has been discussed about the looks and performance about the car in other threads so I am not going to repeat it all over again.

It was way better than santro and the interiors....mindblowing.
It never seemed to be a 4-lac car once you are inside. Spacious enough for 5 people, though a bit costly than the comparable version of Santro, I made my mind to get the i10(ERA).

November 4th
Booked the Car and pushed them hard for a speedy delivery.
The i10 Era costed 405793 On Road in Delhi.

November 8th
The car is mine.

I can't put in words how it feels when you are driving the second car delivered in your city and all the attention is on YOU.

Anyhow....trying hard to ignore that, I tried enjoying the ride. With all 5 people loaded and even the AC ON, the i10 started up so well.

Have not driven much till date (just 250Kms so far), but have liked it each and every time I take it on Road....

The only thing I felt was that its suspensions were a bit hard. May be it will be smooth after the first service.

If you are thinking of buying a santro, you must surely put a couple of thousand more to get this beauty. Beleive me its worth that extra money ...

Congrats!!! I too have booked a i10Era and expecting delivery on 19th this month. Even this would be my first car and I had gone thro' the same phase as you before deciding on i10. Was abt to pickup Santo xo for 4.07lacs and now I am getting i10 Era for 4.27 in Pune, which I think was a good decision as for 20k more I am getting such beautiful interiors, tubeless tires, new refined engine, better looks and a lots more.
Do keep us posted on your initial views and mileage that you are getting.
