| I reached Manipal motors at 6.30 PM, looked around anxiously, then I saw her standing there with a yellow ribbon tied across her bonnet waiting in the parking lot under the floodlights, there had been a slight drizzle and light was sparkling off thousands of little droplets on her body, she was gorgeous and I was in love. [img=http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/4190/200712040011lp5.th.jpg] [img=http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/1126/200712040012nc3.th.jpg] There was one thing that needed to be done before I could claim her, the paper work, arrrrgh!!!!, that was dispatched with clinical efficiency, while my heart was going through a complete spin dry cycle, desperately wanting get behind the wheel and start her up and drive away. It's 8.00 PM, paper work done, stamped, stapled and filed away, the keys are handed over to me, I get behind her wheel and start her up, she purrs!!!!. Slot it into first and drive away...... Well that's what I thought, hardly got 1/2 km, the .low fuel warning light goes off, I am mad at the dealer, they have not put any gas in the car, well, nothing is going to dampen my spirits, I find the nearest pump and top up, it 8.30 PM. I hit the outer ring road, now, she was in her element, with open road ahead of her she started to stretch her legs, 80 in 5th 1900 RPM, who's counting, all I can see is around and behind me, I have people trying to get closer to take a look, a few of them come alongside and give me a high five, flashing toothy smiles. Well all good things have to come to an end, so does this, I am late for work and have to rush, drive straight to work, the security guards at ITPL gate, look at the car and walk around exclaiming!!! New car, the flag me through, these guys see Merc's, Audi's and such everyday and dispatch with them without out a word, when they take time to walk around my car checking it out, it made my day. That's all I have for now, will post more once I take her out a bit more, planning a trip to Coimbatore, Coty and back, will post later, watch this space. |
