Dude i have decided to book Getz Crdi. Have to decide the color.
When r u planning to purchase?

You can buy a Dzire ZDI under NRI quota and you can get the car delivered in 20 to 30 days. If you are planning for DZIRE then go through the NRI way.

Which dealer are you thinking to approach?
Even I am thinking to book GetZ CRDI but I am still confused whether to go for Verna VGT or GetZ CRDI, not sure whether the additional 2L on Verna is really worth.

I am going with Trident Hyundai.
Even i was considering Verna Crdi but it looked like additional 2.5lac is not worth IMO. Also i alone will be travelling most of the time. So boot is not required.
I am thinking of Dzire ZDI for safety features but build quality is stopping me. Also its not looking good to my eyes these days

Finally got a TD today...

Engine & transmission:
- Disappointed by the NVH level. It increases if you start AC. This is a big disappointment for me. Can it be just the TD car?
- Clutch is not as progressive as I would have liked
- Gear shift is Ok. Gears slot nicely.
- Performance is good. No noticeable difference with an without AC. Nice.

Ride and handling:
- Handling is not bad. Didn't get chance to take any high speed turns but it felt good while cutting lanes at speed. It may not be best but one can live with it.
- Ride quality is good.
- Brakes are adequate

Interiors:
- Its specious. No issues here.
- Overall didn't like the beige and wooden look. Earlier interiors were much better.
- Build quality/fit and finish is good
- 60/40 split folding seats is nice feature
- no lumber support for rear seats

The sales person was saying that Getz crdi has 2 turbos.

The car is overpriced for sure. Trim level is the lowest. NO spoiler, rear defogger, remote boot release, etc.. etc.. etc.

Now I am in a fix guys. The NVH issue is troubling me but I liked most of the other aspects.

Was it a demo car? Think you will be the first one to complain about a Getz NVH.

Speedo was disconnected.

I felt that there was a lot of noise and a little vibrations inside the cabin. May be I am comparing it with petrol cars. Its was definitely better than indica.

Vabs,
I own a chevy spark and every one knows how silent the cabin is.
I felt getz cabin is super silent compared to spark.
Press horn and inside the cabin, very small amount of noise(horn) can be heard. Do the same in swift and you will come to know the difference.

Hyundai guys did a fantastic job of keeping the noise outside. Car is well dampened.

Only the TD car may have this problem then.

undead, can you please try this?
- start the car and get outside
- listen to the sound
- now start the AC and get outside
- listen to the sound again

Is there a big difference?

vabs,

Getz D is noisier compared to Swift D from outside. Hyundai has done a great job of dampening. Cabin is very silent.

The sound will be medium at cold start and also when you are in idle.
Once the engine becomes warm and when you start moving the car, its silent.
For eg : When you are going at some 80km speed the engine is silent. When at idle , you can hear little sound.

What djay99 said in the previous post is correct.
