Actually the Elegance is offered in 4 colors. The colors as per the brochure in this variant are: Candy White, Silver, Black and Corrida Red.

I wish they had tangerine orange at this range. :-(

The initial ground clearance was even less. They increased it for India by 11mm. It was 135mm originally and they changed it to 146mm. Do you think it is still low ?

Octavia's GC is just 134mm, so the Fabia's is fine at 146mm

Even Mercedes gives its cars the rough road package. It should not be called rough road, but off road package, since out roads are not rough but its like off roading.

I am sorry for asking this... What exactly is a rough road package that they are offering in Fabia. Is it some adjustment or some metal shield that protects the bottom of the car ? Are there any pictures that I can look to understand this better?

Well basically rough road package means they adjust the car to take some abuse thrown by the bad roads of our country. The following are the adjustments they make.

Increase the GC
Use stiffer springs
Use high profile tires

At least here in Bangalore it is very low with those absurd speed breakers
Many of my friends complain against NHC for its low GC (at 160 mm) and like SX4 for its high GC.

More then GC is the design on the underbody and how the suspension is set up, the Octy hardly scrapes any speed breakers due to its design, wheras cars with better GC do.

I think Octy/Laura has underbody stone gaurd which might also be part of this rough road package. Not sure about Fabia though.

the availabale colours are really a let-down. was checking random pics of the car on the net and came across such fantastic looking fabias. but then, those were all in the colours that aint coming to india. i guess the india-australia series aint the only thing marred by racism, eh??
LOL.
