Raajks is wrong, Vinay you are right. The Fog lights come on only when the parking / driving light switches are put in ON position. Congrats on the car, do update on the FE figures.

There is nothing wrong with your car Vinay. It is by design for battery saving reasons that the Fog can be switched on only when the parking lights are switched on. Probably they skimped on this safety feature in a few cars or it was hardwired wrongly in a few cars or the fogs were an after market fitment.
Bye and wear your seat belts.

Thanks everyone for clarifying that for me, I thought that it was a great feature along with not being able to switch off the lights if its on Highbeam, nice thoughtful features those.

Hi vinay

I got the art leather seats fitted from the dealership. I paid 12k for them plus a Blau mp27 system with 4 speakers. So guess the breakup should be 3 + 9

Hey Vinay, regarding the seat covers, you can also check out at Autoshop, Koramangala. If you are interested, I can give the contact no.

Thanks crosscap. I dont even have a DL yet and I picked up driving just a couple of weeks back . I have driven the car only in the morning whn theres hardly any traffic. But the one thing I noticed is that the gearshift isnt smooth (compared to the driving school car). I dont know if its the same with all new cars! But the car has got many pros including the ability to soak up bumps & craters, ride quality, decent mileage & relatively few cars on the road.

Hey, i also bought from Manipal, K R Road & I was dealing with ur namesake. Basically, rather than taking the company discount of 22k during Dec, I took only 10k discount & told him to fit all the basic accessories + autocop + art leather seats + music system.
Btw, did u buy it from their Palace Road showroom?

I think all of you are right in someway.
Some palio pre-nv car's fog can be switched on without switching on the park light. I think the stile has a different wiring scheme

Any ideas, why didn't you wait for 1.3 MJD to be released? I feel it is much more refined than the petrol counterpart and moreover it is Diesel.
