Default Look what I found - 4.2 > 5.7! My Jaguar S-Type R

Yet another Tata product (soon to be Tata product, anyway) joins my Garage.

Picked this one up today & just got it registered - its a 2006 Jaguar S-Type R with about 30k Kms on the clock.

For those interested in the details, it has a 4.2 litre Supercharged engine that does duty in all the "R" Jags (XKR, XJR) and the RR Sport Supercharged. Pumps out 400 bhp and 560 nm, does the 0-100 in 5.2 seconds.

The model has some known issues, mainly to do with the Brembo brakes and the air conditioner compressor, and then some refinement issues. These are not unknown horrors to a person that owns a Tata vehicle, amongst other things.

I'm still getting used to the car, so see you for a while while I put some miles under my belt.

It has 6 speakers and a sub too, though the audio is sadly downmarket - its all Alpine.

I dont quite like the sound yet but I havent figured out how the damn thing works. All I know is that I cant load a CD - you have to do it via CD changer in the boot

Next to connect my Drive + Play. Hopefully that wont be too hard.

So what exactly made you buy this rather than a Skoda Fabia?

Seriously... Congratulations... Beautiful

Can we have pics of the interior, please?

Is that the actual pic of car, or a stock / file pic?

Actual picture. Taken with Point & Shoot Sony immediately after the new license plates were fixed at the RTA office.
