Thanks pal. Expected you to over take me in procuring one.
Have been doing my fair share of checking with the dealership about the availability of some discounts and also I am considering the feasibility of retaining my baleno. So might take some time to procure one.

BTW saw a white Dicor yesterday at the dealership and full 10 points for the looks. The body cladding in white with dark tints, killer alloys and fat rubber is like ummwwaahh , ummwwaahh ,ummwwaahh !!

So JK transforms to the Aana Pappan eh ?

Default Update at 350kms

redfire; soon. Call me when you visit CCD or so.

kutlee; a bit I guess.

rj; Maybe with the new LX one can save 1.2lac. Pearl White is one of the reason I got EX.

Odo read:350KMS

Santro:
:small, spacious for 4 provided rear passengers arent that tall.
:Good AC.
:Can squeeze through real tight spots.
:Just floor pedal and it surges forward than most cars of that segment. :Wheel spins in 1st gear very easily.
: Built quality is great.

Safari:
:5 sits comfortably, XL size even I guess. This doesnt include people sitting in the jump seats.
:AC is chilling when the over head blower on.

:It indeed can be squeezed to tight spots. I am more confident now and I am very happy over the confidence the ride quality it gives.

:I am yet to take high speed turns but didnt have any issue when I took the same turn at 80kmph that I could so 100kmph on my Xing. A note here; I had Potenza 175s on my Xing.

:Body role is of course there but not like one complains. I think its those who does small test drives and do very high speed manuvering who feels this. This can be eliminated once you get used to the beast.

:First gear is short. Careful with second and it easily goes over 2k rpm. I am yet to utilze the power delivery of this as I am still in the running in period.

:I am yet to do wheel spins and I donno if its a safe thing to do from engine prospective.

: The child locks are a bit loose. Rear door had to be opened from outside once as the lock was set automatically. Maybe the jolt at closing the door made it happen.

Plus, you'll soon realize you dont need a horn when you're riding an elephant. It is kinda hard-to-miss, especially in your rapstar white.

Heh-heh, be careful you don't fry the clutch. Not sure if the 2.2 gives wheelspins, the 3 litre normally does only on a smooth floor, not on regular surfaces like sedans.

Big congrats JK. The Safari does look huge in that color. How long did it it take you getting used to the dimensions (in tight traffic)?

Hi Jk,Congrats on your new ride, I have checked out the earlier 3L, still to check out the new 2.2. Caution, wheelspin and frying your clutch early will make you poorer by approx 8-10K on the 3L version, according to Concorde bangalore. Not sure about the prices of imp spares on the new 2.2. please update us on some spares prices of frequent worn out parts on this 2.2.? thanks

Hey JK, congrats man. That was a big jump indeed but you did the right thing. Car looks great in white and right now you should be intoxicated with the respect you get on the road

So, can I expect you to pass through Coimbatore this week?

Hi Jkdas,

> Plus, you'll soon realize you dont need a horn when you're riding an elephant.

Congrats.

The horn actually is loud enough outside. It is muted inside the cabin.

Reverse camera would be good to add or at least the reverse sensors. The electrical mirrors can be used eeffectively.

It would roll, but it handles well in decent speeds. The OT tyres are not bad at all.

The new alloy styled steel rims look fine too. Mine had wheel caps.

I never had fogging issues in my Safari. Fog inside or outside?
