Dealers have got 3-4 times the monthly allotment already as bookings.

What's wrong with people?!

In my books, Dzire has taken the crown for the ugliest car on Indian roads from the NHC. Suddenly the NHC looks like a Ferrari!

Agreed.

So has Maruti finally managed to sort out the EPS in the Dzire?

Must be a nice car, but these hatchbacks were never meant to be sedans.

In my books, the crown still stays with the Sucks SX4. what's more, it is burial time for the already sick model. Dzire seems to overlap & outshine the SX4 especially with the ZDI. What is the USP for SX4 now ?

Ferro i guess not.the success of the marina compared to the indigo is enough reason for not doing that mistake, lol.I havent heard of any EPS problem in the swift till now.

Looks alone doesnt sell in India. I think it has been proved beyond any doubt.

I think Value for money, brand image and loyalty will be the key success points for the Dzire.

May be most sedans converted from hatches were never meant to be so. But the immense success of the hatches means the brand will be leveraged for extension. That has naturally happened with the Swift as well.

It says here that "the petrol variant is expected to be priced between Rs 4.75 to Rs 5 lakh"...

"while the diesel variant would be available for above Rs 5.5 lakh".

Hmmm. The site has got some really nice pics. Don't think they have come up before in team-bhp. Also, the interiors look much better with the new beige colour. Feels better than the claustrophobic feel of the hatch.

Talking

Swift had 2 problems - front & rear. Dzire seem to have fixed the rear
So Dzire is one of those cars which has no front quarter glass but a rear quarter glass.

Isn't quarter-glass a part of the pillar design? Cars like M800, WagonR have it, for example.

That is true but you guys don't find putting down money on a car that you haven't even seen and the price of which is unknown weird?

The last time there was a thread on how some people have booked the Fabia without looking at the car and knowing it's price, we all went hammer and tongs about how people had lost it and were buying the car blindly just because it was a 'premium Skoda'. Why the hypocrisy now? Just because it's a Maruti?
