i am thinking what will happen to the sx4 sales considering our price oriented markets. sales of sx4 will go south IMO.

Like stated elsewhere. Maruti wont care about that as long as its a Maruti that is snathching away the sales. Overall, the benefit & share of the market is increasing in their favour. So what difference.

nice pictures, the car looks good from the behind and the side profile is okay looking, but the front is a put off atleast for me its just like the indica made into indigo, they should have changed the face at least to a better looking and a different one.

hmm, need to test drive it for the power and handling this car offers. and i am just on the look out for the pricing of the zdi model and the sx4's diesel version, how high can maruti really place it? makes me wonder for sure.

Sorry! But not to my taste IMHO. Would have preffered an original idea for a car stated to replace the Esteem. Boot looks a modded or shall i say inspired from the SX4 and tail lamps are off the Swift Sport with a little make over. The chrome on the boot lid is over done and it really looks like two cars put together as one.
Or maybe MUL managed to blow an unauthorised LPG kit in a Swift's boot and Wallah!! MUL thought -We got a new car!!
Now lets name it DZire so people would be forced to think likewise and launch it!!!
Sorry Guys just meant all of the above in good spirit not to hurt anybody's feeling or POVs!!

Hey! SOmehow the car looks pretty good in these pictures. The earlier pictures i saw made me feel that the boot looked as an ADDITION. Liked the looks. I think the silver finish on the boot has done a real good job in not making it feel like the old sienna. SO i guess here comes another winner from maruti stable. Any changes to the engine tuning?

Eddy, good catch that. Would have loved a full side profile to get a better idea. (Was there any deal with the guy from Star News to not shoot them from the front ? :-) )

The rear of the car looks good in a way. The B pillar to the boot also looks good. Even the A pillar to the boot looks nice as can be seen in third & seventh photo. But when the front end comes into the profile, as in the 8th photo, it looks weird. The front end looks too bulbous & snub nosed to be a part of a sedan. It's not gelling with the rest of the car.

While the rear is integrated pretty well, the short front overhang gives the car a not so good looking stance.5/10 as for looks.

Team-Bhp always manages to pull these pre-launch TD ... Good job Eddy

Glad it has biege interiors or else it would be as boring as the Swift on the inside. Any clue with the VXi version get biege treatment too?

Huge boot another will add to the attraction of pulling customers.

If priced well, i think a lot of IndigoCS buyers would opt for this.

Fabulous work Eddy.
Looks like Maruti has a winner, if rightly priced.

But only Swift hatch for me, anytime anyday.
