Default Fiesta 1.6ZXI Petrol - first 850kms report

Hi,

First thanks a lot to everyone who advsied me on Fiesta. I finally got one on 19th in Pondicherry, and so the drive started immediately to Chennai (gud 135kms on ECR). The beast simply doesn't accept to go at normal speeds. The acceleration, driving position, and oozes lots of confidence on highway. Next day we started to Tiruvannamalai - again Chennai - Trichy highway, so breaching 100kmph had gone unnoticeable many a times...race ensued with a swift...poor chap could only wonder:-) The downshifts required for overtaking are very minimal...the max so far touched was 160kmph. The mechanic didnot mention any speed limit - Am Happy!

Mileage seems to be >13kmpl with most higway drive with AC. Guess it will improve after few services.

No accessories yet fitted. First few shots attached.

Hi gopal.putrevu

Congratulation on the car! I'd recommend you get rid of all that protective plastic on seats ASAP, does not look nice and is also not good for skin. Get some seat covers.

Enjoy in good health, my BIL also has a Fiesta it is quite decent.

hehehe.. I was about to mention that . He has a car that belongs to the future!! LOL

Seriously, keep the pace down for the first 1-1.5K kms. It will always do good to an engine. I know it's hard to keep it down but still try and do it if you can

PS: dont take on swifts, poor little cars they are!!

Any reason why you chose to get it from Pondy? Are you getting it registered in chennai or pondy? I guess the chennai OTR should also come somewhere close to 6.6L.

Welcome to the 1.6 club, dude! The car looks real good.
A sincere piece of advice: don't rip her past 2500 rpm on the tacho till you cross 2000 kms on the odo---it will do the engine good. It looks like you revved her past 5000 rpm.
Please read postings on this forum on how to run in your new car.

Congrats pal.

I am sure there would be a running-in time. Do refer the owner's manual.

oh ! so there is still a difference in price between pondy and chennai ? i thought that was taken care of by way of some entry tax or some thing for PY reg vehicles in TN ?
anyways - that was a smart move and u saved 50k - SO wats the plan to spend that 50k ? !

btw - are those alloys or steel rims ? doesnt the ZXI come with alloys ?
