Default This Is Dream Comes True (Palio 1.6)

I still remember the first time when I drove a Palio GTX.
After a hard core drinking at my place Kiran(Moral Fibre) told us to go to his place and drive his car.
There were four of us(me,my friend,Kiran and James A.K.A wicked wheels).
We reached at his place in Bahwdan(pardon if the spellng is wrong) at around 2:00am,he took his car out to the main road and gave it to me to drive.
When I start the car and push the pedal I was like wow what is this ,am I driving a car or rocket?
The acceleration was amazing, the handling was awesome, ride and...everything was different from what I had driven yet.
I had a sleepless night that night ,thinking about that 5mins of driving that beast and wishing to get my hand on one.
Every time I used to meet Kiran after that I was trying to get his car for any excuse like buying cigarette and stuff like that.
One year passed and I was still dreaming of a GTX .
Then one of my friend(Regan) who is a member (with 0 post)asked me to find him a GTX,I immediately called Kiran and told him if he knows any and he sad yes as usual.
He took us to a friend and member(determinus).
We went there and he showed us his baby ,a orange 2003 GTX.
Car was in great condition ,22k km done and looks damn clean and neat.
Hats off to determinus for keeping the car in such a fantastic condition.
My friend drove the car and fell in love with her,oh I just remember that the spoiler was stolen and Kiran said that they saw it in Bombay chore bazaar else the car was great and no other problem.
He bought the car after almost 1 month due to some bank and loan issue.
The very first day I took it for a nice drive across the city and really really enjoyed it.
Again my dream started and I had to fight them all night long.
Every time I used to catch him on the streets I used to stop him ,take the car and drive it for an even 2mins drive.
Amazing car as you can see her here:

2003 FIAT Palio 1.6GTX - determinus’s Photo Gallery - Team-BHP

I got a job in a BPO company and collecting every penny of my salary to get my hand on of them ,new or second hand no matter I was just wanting a 100bhp Palio.couldn't find any or a good condition one and couldn't afford the new one.
2 weeks back I got a call from Regan said that he wants to sell his car,I was like oh God am I dreaming.
Finally I can have my dream car.

to be continued

Sorry for the gap fellas, was busy day today for me.
After he told me about selling the car immediately I called Kiran and asked him how should I go through this and he told me not more than 1.6l.
Next day I met Regan and first he was asking for 2.2l ,after about 2hrs bargaining and arguing we close the for 1.8l.
I had collected 1 lac so for the rest 80k I called home and asked my parents to send it ASAP,you have no idea how excited I was ,couldn't wait to get my hand on her.
In one week I received the money and late at night paid him all of it and got the car at 3:00am and went for a short drive with some friends.
She was still good not like 6 months ago but still was enjoying every bit driving her.
He hadn't changed the oil since he got it, HU was not working and one tire was in different size from the others. The left front tire was 185/60 while the other are 185/65.
I immediately changed the oil with Mobile1, a nice car wash and changed the front tire to 185/65(got a second hand Goodyear nct, same as the other 3).
The left tail light is broken and there is a small dent near that which I get it done next week along with a complete servicing from B.U.
Believe me there is a world different between driving a 1.2 and 1.6 ,now I don't feel like driving the ELX and it's now own by my girlfriend.
There'd be big smile on my face when I seat and drive her.I'm having best moment of my life these days.
Like a award winning celeb I'd like to thank God for making my dream come true,I'd like to thank my parents for their unlimited support and also Kiran who is always been there to help.
I feel like theee king of theee world.

Congratulations. The car you got is nice. I don't know how Regan treated it but it can be fixed. Enjoy it!

Palio was probably the first good-looking hatch when it was launched. Not to forget loads of interior space. And built tough!

Congrats to you Payam and to your parents(without them it wouldn't have been possible!!)
Post some pics of your car. And do drop in at one of the meets with your new ride.
Btw, does this GTX comes with ABS & airbags?

EDIT:
Okay just saw determinus's gallery; must say that the car is in good shape/ condition. IMO the car looks great with the stock exteriors. So keep it plainjane.

Cheers,
Dhaval
